The flood has taken dreams I held on tight,
Washed away books, and left me lost without the light.
My classroom once felt warm, but papers and chairsโ
Now covered in mudโbring sadness to the air.
You, me, we want to learn, to dream, to try again,
But how can I try, when all I can feel is pain?
My teacherโs voice, my classmatesโ jokes once filled the air,
Sounds of laughter now drowned in the weight of despair.
How can I learn, if hope has gone, has sailed away?
Like classrooms turned to boats, drifting astray.
How do we venture when our dreams float from afar?
When we feel numb, how can we shine like a star?
Still, deep inside, I hold to that light so nearโ
A quiet hope that someday skies will clear.
For knowledge is our torch, though floods shook all we knowโ
Even when drowned, our will to rise will grow.
