On June 15, 1991, Mt. Pinatuboโ€™s eruption shook the world. Blanketing skies with ash and reshaping landscapes across Luzon. It was one of the largest eruptions of the 20th century, a moment of devastation that tested the strength of countless communities.

Yet from the ashes rose a story of courage and unity. Families rebuilt their homes, towns found new life, and the land itself slowly healed. The eruption became more than a tragedy it became a testament to the Filipino spirit of BAYANIHAN, where neighbors stood together, helping one another rise again.

Today, we remember not only the destruction but also the renewal: the resilience of survivors, the compassion of volunteers, and the enduring hope that carried a nation forward. May the lessons of Pinatubo remind us that even in the darkest storms, solidarity and faith can light the way toward recovery and growth.
