The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is celebrated every August 15.
It marks the day when Catholics and many other Christians believe God took the Virgin Mary, body and soul, into heaven at the end of her life on earth.

It reminds the Catholic Church that God’s promise of eternal life is not only for Mary but for all who faithfully follow Christ. Mary, who wholeheartedly accepted God’s will, was taken body and soul into heavenly glory. Her Assumption gives us hope that our earthly life has a greater purpose and that death is not the end.

It also reminds us to look beyond our present struggles toward the eternal life promised by Christ. Mary’s Assumption is therefore a sign of hope, reminding us that those who remain faithful to God will share in His glory.

To all Notre Dameans, the Campus Ministry and Religious Education (CMRE) Office warmly invites everyone to join us in our Daily Mass at 4:00 PM. Let us gather as one faith community to celebrate the Holy Eucharist, give thanks to God, and entrust all our intentions to His loving care.

Today, we also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the sponsors: Grade 12 St. Faustina Kowalska, St. Maria Goretti, and St. Francis Xavier.

May you continue to be inspired by the lives of your patron saints. Like St. Faustina Kowalska, may you become witnesses of God's Divine Mercy through compassion and forgiveness.
