Nabalawag Cluster School Heads Meet with a Purpose

The first School Heads’ Meeting for School Year 2026–2027 was successfully spearheaded by the active Cluster Head, Mr. Edon M. Antog, on June 15, 2026.

The meeting commenced with an opening prayer led by the Cluster ISAL Focal Person, Shiek Guiamalodin Guiamalon, followed by the checking of attendance. As the presiding officer, Mr. Antog presented the key agenda for discussion, which included:

1. Three-Term School Calendar (D.O. No. 009, s. 2026)
2. Unified Class Program
3. Instructional Supervision
4. Cluster Coordinators
5. ISAL Teachers’ Concerns
6. Other Matters

The fifteen (15) school heads of the Nabalawag Cluster actively exchanged ideas and insights on the various agenda items presented. They expressed their full support for initiatives that promote the welfare and development of Bangsamoro learners. The participants also emphasized the importance of faithfully adhering to existing mandates, orders, and memoranda to ensure effective school governance and quality education delivery.

The meeting was further honored by the presence of Mr. Abdulsamad Maisalat, CID Chief and Nabalawag Cluster Adopter, who shared valuable insights regarding the issues and concerns raised by the school heads. He highlighted the vital role of school heads in decision-making processes and underscored the importance of strengthening teachers’ involvement in all school-related activities to achieve educational excellence.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment among the school heads to work collaboratively in advancing the goals and programs of the education sector for the benefit of all Bangsamoro learners.

NABALAWAG CLUSTER CONDUCTS BRIGADA ESKWELA KICKOFF 2026

On June 2, 2026, the Nabalawag Cluster successfully conducted the Brigada Eskwela Kickoff 2026 at Olandang National High School–Damatulan Extension with the theme, “Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman.”

Hon. Saidin P. Tado, the ABC President of Nabalawag Municipality and Barangay Captain of Damatulan, warmly welcomed the school heads from the 15 schools under the Nabalawag Cluster, along with teachers, parents, students, and other guests who participated in the activity.

Akmad L. Buat, the Cluster Brigada Eskwela Coordinator, delivered the Statement of Purpose, emphasizing the spirit of bayanihan or volunteerism among stakeholders in preparing a safe, clean, and well-organized learning environment for both teachers and learners through shared responsibility. He also highlighted the importance of strengthening partnerships with local government units, non-government organizations, alumni associations, and other stakeholders in improving learners' academic performance and enhancing school facilities.

The dynamic Cluster Head of Nabalawag, Edon M. Antog, inspired the participants through his motivational message. He encouraged students to strengthen their courage, determination, and commitment in both academic and co-curricular activities by sharing his personal experiences, particularly his involvement in sports. He also urged parents to provide their full support in helping their children achieve their dreams.

With heartfelt gratitude, Rasul M. Angas, Officer-in-Charge of ONHS–Damatulan Extension, acknowledged and presented the cash and in-kind donations generously contributed by the participants for the construction of a makeshift school building.

Afterward, PTA President Sanoy M. Mudal led the Pledge of Commitment, during which all participants affixed their signatures as a symbol of their unwavering dedication and commitment to supporting Bangsamoro learners in their educational journey and contributing to the realization of the school's aspirations.

The program concluded with the planting of coconut seedlings, symbolizing prosperity, growth, and hope for a brighter future for Bangsamoro learners.

The successful conduct of the Brigada Eskwela Kickoff 2026 demonstrated the strong spirit of unity, cooperation, and shared responsibility among stakeholders, reaffirming their commitment to providing a conducive learning environment and quality education for every learner.
