The Midsalip Central Elementary School (MCES) Regular family proudly celebrates another remarkable milestone as our young student-journalists brought home top rankings during the Division of Zamboanga del Sur Press Conference 2026, held in Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur, on September 3–5, 2026.

“A LABORATORY OF LIFE”: MCES PRINCIPAL CHALLENGES YOUNG SCOUTS

MIDSALIP, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR — Scouting is more than wearing a uniform—it is preparation for life.

This was the powerful message of Midsalip Central Elementary School–Regular Principal Beverly P. Calexterio, ESP-III, during her inspirational message at the opening of the 14th Simultaneous School Camporal 2026 today, August 21.

“This is not just about uniforms and scouting. Treat this as a laboratory of life,” Calexterio stressed, urging the young scouts to see every activity not merely as a requirement, but as an opportunity to learn, grow, and prepare for the challenges ahead.

With 45 Boy Scouts and 23 Kab Scouts participating, the camporal carries the theme “READY FOR LIFE: Future-Proofing Scouting for the Next Generation and Beyond.”

For MCES Regular, the campsite is more than a place for camping—it is a classroom without walls, where discipline, teamwork, leadership, courage, and responsibility are put into practice.

And for these young scouts, the real adventure is not just surviving the camp—it is learning how to face life.
