The Bachelor of Science in Food Technology students from the University of the Philippines Visayas joins the Filipino Food Month 2026 and showcased their latest food product developments. From innovated snacks to usage of local ingredients, the future of Filipino food is exhibited today, April 24, 2026 at the Iloilo SM City Southpoint.

The Philippine Association of Food Technologists-Iota Chapter participates in the UP Youth Summit on Sustainable Development Goals held in GT Toyota Asian Center Auditorium, as one of the representative organizations from the University of the Philippines Visayas.

Delegates joining from PAFT-I are Berizo (PAFT-I President), Delaraya (PAFT-I VP for Internals), Ganit (PAFT-I PIO), Padon, and Concepcion. This 2-day summit is crucial for incorporating ideas from youth that align with different SDGs; therefore, capstone projects are prepared by each constituent university of the University of the Philippines.

Alongside PAFT-Iota, other organizations participating in the summit include UP Fisheries Guild, UP Visayas Oikos Ecological Movement, UP VisayasPH Pub, and UP Visayas Student Council.

The 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 - 𝐈𝐨𝐭𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 extends its deepest gratitude to the generous patrons who fueled our journey during 𝗣𝗔𝗙𝗧 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.'
