ANNOUNCEMENT:

The TLRC in collaboration with the University Student Council will be implementing the learning spaces extended schedule for the exam week, December 15-19, 2025:

Estudio (TLRC Student Lounge) - 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Learners' Lane (CUB Basement Lobby) - open 24 hours

We will also be giving free coffee packs for those who want to study in the learning spaces (bring your own mug/cup).

The Teaching and Learning Resource Center invites faculty members and lecturers to the LMS Orientation for the First Semester AY 2025-2026 on August 26, 2025 (Tuesday), 9:00 AM for faculty Members and 1:00 PM for students.
For this session of the LMS Orientation, we will be joined by the University Library to give us an orientation to Online and Digital University Library Resources.

The UPV Teaching and Learning Resource Center would like to invite upper class students to become Peer Tutors for the First semester of AY 2025-2026 for the following subjects:

Chemistry
Computer Programming
Mathematics
Physics

Peer Tutors of the TLRC Peer Tutorial Program are tasked to conduct Peer Tutorial classes (number of sessions per week is dependent on the number of tutees for that semester) at the Peer Tutorial booth of the TLRC.

For their service as Peer Tutors, they are entitled to enjoy some benefits and privileges, such as unlimited computer use, free printing of limited materials, and an honoraria sourced out from alumni and friends of UPV.

There is currently an issue with PHNet, which manages all EDU.PH domain names.

The TLRC is pleased to announce that a new learning space is available to cater to your diverse needs. The TLRC Multipurpose Hub or MPH is a learning space that can accommodate at most 15 people and is an ideal venue for small classes, group tutorials, and other academic and collaborative activities.

The National Teachers’ Month, traditionally held starting September 5 of every year, concludes every 5th of October with the World Teachers’ Day celebration. But, beyond these dates, it is important that we celebrate the noble profession that paves the way for the other ones.

The theme for this year’s Teachers’ Day Celebration is “Empowering Educators: Strengthening Resilience, Building Sustainability”. With this, we take a look at the motivations and inspirations of our young faculty members on why they chose teaching as a profession. We see these young faculty members as future leaders of the profession who will hone the skills and inspire the next generation of students.

For this year’s Teachers’ Day Bulletin, we invited junior faculty members from different colleges, divisions, and departments of UP Visayas and asked them the question: “what inspired you to choose teaching as a profession?”, and these are their responses.
