𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝒈𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒌𝒆𝒆𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒚𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆! 🥳

Last March 19–24, 2026, the UPV Regional Research Center (UPV-RRC) Biology Laboratory had the pleasure of welcoming a high school intern through our Science Immersion Program. Before his graduation, Mr. Ron Andrew Molejona of St. Louise de Marillac School of Miagao, Iloilo, Inc. spent time with us, learning essential laboratory techniques, and exploring the fascinating world of biology through hands-on activities.

At the Biology Laboratory, we believe that nurturing curiosity starts early. By opening our doors to aspiring young scientists, we hope to inspire the next generation of STEM innovators and demonstrate that the possibilities in science are truly endless.

During our recent Nature Trail Activity, our interns took on a Color Hunt, exploring their surroundings to find nature's incredible palette. From vibrant greens and brilliant yellows to earthy browns and striking reds, every color tells a story and reminded us that science begins with observation. Sometimes, all it takes is a curious eye to discover something extraordinary.

Now, imagine taking that curiosity one step further. 👀 What do these colors and specimens reveal under a microscope? At the Biology Laboratory, every field discovery is an opportunity to explore the unseen. Whether in nature or under the lens, there's always more waiting to be uncovered. 🔬𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 | 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝒂 𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒎𝒊𝒄𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒄𝒐𝒑𝒚 𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆?

It begins with careful specimen preparation, followed by keen observation and a healthy dose of curiosity. Today, our interns explored their specimens under the stereomicroscope, uncovering intricate details that often go unnoticed by the naked eye. Every specimen has a story to tell - 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝒄𝒍𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒚.

Here's a glimpse into an ordinary day in the Biology Laboratory, where learning happens one observation at a time and every discovery sparks new questions.

It's only been a week since our Bio Lab interns joined us, but it already feels like they've accomplished so much. From exploring the laboratory and to gaining hands-on experience, they've embraced every opportunity with curiosity, enthusiasm, and an open mind.

We're looking forward to seeing them grow even more in the weeks ahead. Every day in the lab brings new questions, new skills, and new discoveries - and that's what science is all about!

Earlier this week, we excitedly welcome the first batch of college interns to the Biology Laboratory of the UP Visayas Regional Research Center (RRC)!❤️ For the succeeding days, they'll be stepping into our facilities, learning laboratory techniques, gaining hands-on experience, and discovering what it means to contribute to science beyond the classroom.

We hope this residency sparks curiosity, builds confidence, and inspires the next generation of biologists and researchers. 🌱🔬 Please join us in giving them a warm welcome as they begin their journey with us!
