is a Catholic, Secondary School and a member of the Daughters of Charity - St. Louise de Marillac Educational System (DC-SLMES), a system made up of schools that are owned, managed and/or directed by the Daughters of Charity in the Philippines. carries several symbols:
The Cross speaks of Jesus Christ who is the heart of the School. It is encompassed by a flaming heart signifying Christ, the living source of all charity who is burning with love for us. It impels us Marillans to be Christ-centered. It also calls us to a mission: to see, love and serve Christ in all persons especially those who are in poverty situations. The Motto: The Charity of Christ Urges Us calls each one who takes on the name of Marillan to let the charity of Christ animate and impel us to respond to the challenges that life (at home, in the school, in the community, in society) brings. The hexagonal shape of the seal is indicative of what a hexagon characterizes, a shape said to be the most efficient and least wasteful found in nature. As an institution of learning, SLMSM aims to form learners and teachers alike to be resourceful, competent and capable, academically and ethically. Louise de Marillac, who with St. Vincent de Paul, founded the Company of the Daughters of Charity (DC). She was declared Patron Saint of all Christian social workers on 10 February 1960.
