Our speaker, Ms. Bonilla discussed that instead of thinking or asking "๐ช๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ถ๐น๐น ๐ฏ๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ณ๐๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ?" we should focus more on "๐ช๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐ณ๐๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ฑ๐ผ ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ ๐๐ผ ๐น๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ถ๐ป?". She lead and opened the discussion, in regards to literacy regarding the future, and how the youth are participants of the present.

All throughout the webinar, Ms. Bermudez led the discussion about how our present decisions, lead up to the future that we are creating. Focusing on the idea that the future is not something that we are merely doing, but it is also something that we are creating starting today.

Another powerful message from our speaker, is when he gave definition to future literacy. "It is about having an ability to think about the future, process all the complexities surrounding us, and anticipate what's coming our ways." So instead of us asking, "What will happen?", we should instead askโ"What could happenโand what can we do about it?".

Our closing address speakerโMs. Verdadero, encouraged the youth of today to not only view leadership as a mere title. But instead, view it as a role of influencing others towards a better future, and to become a role model for the present actions we have to take today to be able to produce a sustainable and pleasant future.
One key takeaway from the webinar was to stop asking only โWhat will the future be?โ and instead ask, โWhat future do we want to live in?โ As Ms. Alexis Verdadero said in her closing address, โWe are not only leaders of tomorrow, but we are part of today.โ ๐
This special episode, served as more than just a webinar session. Instead, it became a meaningful place of discussion and reflection. About future literacy, decision making, and leadership. Todays episode is a wonderful reminder of how we are all in charged of creating the future that we desire. With the given knowledge, wisdom, and a collaborative effort it shall lead to a more sustainable future.
