With a renewed commitment to truth and responsibility, The Scribes will gather its members on April 14, 2026 for the “Ink and Integrity” symposium, centered on empowering student voices through ethical and impactful journalism.

The symposium will bring together student journalists in a meaningful initiative aimed at strengthening their skills, values, and collaboration. It will feature sessions on the fundamentals of journalistic writing, emphasizing clarity, accuracy, and responsible storytelling across different article types.

An open forum will follow, allowing participants to engage in discussions on current issues, ethical challenges, and the importance of integrity in campus journalism. The event will culminate in a collaborative workshop where members will plan and organize content for upcoming publication projects, nurture teamwork and creativity within the organization.

Ngayong araw Ipinagdiriwang natin ang 𝐈𝐤𝐚-𝟖𝟒 𝐧𝐚 𝐓𝐚𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐧𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲𝐨 𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐰 𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧 upang alalahanin ang tapang at sakripisyo ng mga Pilipino at Amerikanong sundalo na lumaban para sa kalayaan ng bansa noong Battle of Bataan noong 1942, sa panahon ng World War II. Kahit naharap sila sa matinding pagsubok at paghihirap, ipinakita nila ang tunay na katapangan at pagmamahal sa bayan.

Nawa’y magsilbing paalala ang araw na ito na pahalagahan natin ang tapang, sakripisyo, at pagmamahal sa bayan ng ating mga bayani. Nawa’y magsilbi itong paalala na ang tunay na lakas ay makikita sa pagkakaisa at paninindigan. Saludo sa lahat ng nag-alay ng buhay para sa kalayaan. 🫡
