Today, May 20, 2026, the BSA 3A students of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants took a significant step in their academic journey as they successfully conducted their final defense for accounting research.

The event featured nine research groups presenting their studies before the panel of evaluators. Each group showcased their research efforts, analytical skills, and understanding of accounting concepts while responding to questions and recommendations from the panelists.

The final defense was evaluated by Roda R. Santos, CPA, Mark Jameson E. Perez, EdD and Elduz Kim S. Capuli, CTT as panels while Ervy Marcelo, MBA sits as panel chairperson whose expertise and feedback contributed to the enhancement of the students’ research outputs.

The activity not only celebrated the completion of the students’ research requirements but also reflected their dedication, perseverance, and readiness for future professional challenges in the field of accountancy.

The Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants – Pampanga State University, Mexico Campus actively attended TAXDOMS Rising: ETD Taxgisan 2026 held on March 21, 2026, at the PGN Auditorium, Holy Angel University, Angeles, Pampanga.

The event gathered accounting students across the Region III for academic engagement in taxation. Founded by Mr. Ednel T. Datu, CPA, MBA, the program promotes excellence and deeper understanding of current tax issues. Atty. Marc Darryl K. Guevarra, a Tax Principal, discussed the recent updates regarding Tax on Digital Services, while Mr. David Jonathan F. Manalili, CPA added some key updates from the CREATE Act and CREATE MORE. JPIA’s participation highlights its commitment to developing competent and well-prepared future CPAs anchored in its core values of accountability, balance, and competence.
