September 10–11, 2026

Merida Vocational School successfully conducted its 2-Day Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session on ILAW—Intentions, Learning Experiences, Assessment, and Ways Forward, providing teachers with meaningful opportunities for professional learning, collaboration, and reflection.

The Day 1 session focused on strengthening teachers’ understanding of Explicit Instruction and its application in designing and delivering effective lessons. Teachers actively participated in the discussions and learning activities, gaining practical insights that can be translated into meaningful classroom practices.

On Day 2, the learning continued through further discussions, sharing of insights, and demonstration teaching, allowing teachers to see the principles of Explicit Instruction applied in an actual teaching-learning situation.

The session also featured a discussion led by our School Head, Sir Lauro Concillado, on DepEd Order No. 06, s. 2026, “Establishing Safe and Motivating Learning Environments,” highlighting the importance of creating classrooms where learners feel safe, supported, engaged, and motivated to learn.

The fruitful two-day LAC session concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participating teachers, followed by a photo opportunity—capturing another meaningful milestone in our school's continuing journey toward professional growth and instructional excellence.

Through collaborative learning and continuous reflection, Merida Vocational School teachers remain committed to learning, growing, and becoming more effective educators for every learner.

Learn. Reflect. Collaborate. Grow.
