STRENGTHENING PARTNERSHIP FOR LEARNING

Gahitan Elementary School proudly welcomes the CCT (City College of Tagaytay) Team as we strengthen our partnership in support of the ARAL Program and our dear learners.

The meeting on September 21, 2026 between Gahitan ES and CCT for the ARAL Program was witnessed by the former instructor of CCT and currently adviser of Grade 4 -- Ms. Kathleen Atiz, ARAL Coordinator --Ms. Bernice Bautista, the school principal of Gahitan ES, Ms. Jackie Lou Pereña, President Dr. Ferdinand Mendoza, together with Vice President Dr. Ivy Fe M. Hong and the dedicated members of CCT.

This meaningful collaboration reflects a shared commitment to providing our learners with the guidance, support, and opportunities they need to thrive. Through the generosity and active involvement of our partners, we continue to build a stronger support system for learning and help ensure that no learner is left behind.

Gahitan ES Holds Faculty Meeting and LAC Session

Gahitan Elementary School successfully conducted another Faculty Meeting and Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session yesterday September 25, bringing teachers together for a day of meaningful and productive discussions, professional learning, and shared experiences.

The activity was hosted by Sir John Paul Luna and began the program with the singing of the Nationalistic Song and an opening prayer, followed by the presentation of the agenda for the day.

Adding inspiration to the gathering was the recognition of the school’s Employee of the Month, given to Sir John Rillo Bacos for his exemplary punctuality and complete attendance. He was presented with an award and a small token of appreciation for his dedication and commitment to his duties.

The faculty meeting formally proceeded with an echo of the District Meeting presented by Ma’am Lorylen Ocampo, who shared important updates and reminders concerning reports to be submitted, the strengthening of learners’ competitive spirit, timely submission of school reports, canteen concerns, the School Information and Improvement Framework (SIIF), and other pertinent matters.

This was followed by the canteen report on gains, expenses, and net income, presented by Ms. Eleonor Pendon. The school’s financial matters were then discussed through the MOOE report, presented by Administrative Officer, Ms. Angelica Almanzor.

Meanwhile, School Principal, Ma’am Jackie Lou Pereña presented updates on GAS TUKLAS, SIIF, attendance, research, and other important school matters, providing the faculty with relevant information and reminders for the continued improvement of school operations.

The faculty meeting transitioned into a meaningful LAC session featuring two valuable learning presentations.

The first presentation focused on Learning Resources (LR), led by LR Coordinator Ms. Jovelyn Peji. She discussed the meaning and importance of learning resources, the different types of resources that teachers may create and submit, the composition and functions of the LR Committee, and the role of school LR evaluators.

She also explained the evaluation tool to be used and highlighted the important points that evaluators need to check when assessing learning resources. She encouraged teachers to continuously develop quality and appropriate learning resources that will support and enrich learners’ educational experiences.

The second presentation centered on GAT-Storytelling, facilitated by Master Teacher II Ms. Laarni Apawan, a 2025 GAT-Storytelling National Qualifier. Drawing from her experience, she shared essential tips, techniques, and important considerations for teachers and learners who may participate in storytelling competitions.

One of the highlights of her presentation was her demonstration of how a storyteller can effectively shift from one voice to another depending on the character and situation in the story. Her engaging demonstration captured the attention of the faculty and left everyone impressed and inspired.

The fruitful LAC session concluded with the awarding of Certificates of Appreciation to both speakers in recognition of their valuable contribution and willingness to share their knowledge and expertise with their fellow teachers. The certificates were presented by School Principal Ma’am Jackie Lou Pereña.

The activity served not only as a venue for important school updates but also as an opportunity for teachers to learn from one another, strengthen their professional skills, and work together toward providing better learning experiences for the learners of Gahitan Elementary School.

Taos-pusong nagpapasalamat ang Gahitan Elementary School sa lahat ng ating mapagkalingang sponsor at mga magulang na naging katuwang upang maisakatuparan ang Little Heroes Project.

Layunin ng proyektong ito na kilalanin at bigyang-pasasalamat ang ating mga mag-aaral na nagsikap, lumahok sa iba’t ibang kompetisyon, at nagdala ng karangalan at pagmamalaki sa ating paaralan sa pamamagitan ng isang munting salu-salo.

Lubos din ang aming pasasalamat sa ating School Principal, Ms. Jackie Lou M. Pereña na nagsikap na makahanap ng mga sponsor upang maging posible ang makabuluhang proyektong ito. Maraming salamat din sa mga SPTA Officer at kay Ms. Eleonor May Pendon sa kanilang oras at pagsisikap na pumunta sa lugar ng aktibidad at pumili ng angkop at masarap na pagkain para sa ating mga munting bayani.

LINGAPIN BROTHERS AND SISTERS, NAKIISA SA PROJECT BUSOG NG GAHITAN ES

Muling nagsagawa ng feeding program ang Gahitan Elementary School ngayong Setyembre 21 sa ilalim ng Project BUSOG, sa pakikipagtulungan ng Lingapin Brothers and Sisters of Mendez, sponsor para sa buwan ng Setyembre, isang samahang naglalayong magbigay ng tulong at kalinga sa mga nangangailangan, lalo na sa mga bata at matatanda.

Pinangunahan ni Ms. Eleonor May Pendon ang programa na sinimulan sa pamamagitan ng Makabayan Song at panalangin. Nagbigay naman ng pambungad na mensahe ang Punongg**o na nagpaalala sa mga mag-aaral na pahalagahan ang bawat biyayang kanilang natatanggap.

Nagpaabot din siya ng pasasalamat sa mga g**o, magulang, at mga opisyal ng SPTA sa kanilang patuloy na pakikiisa at suporta sa mga programa ng paaralan tulad ng Project BUSOG.

Ipinakilala rin ng Punongg**o si Mr. Ricky Panganiban, kinatawan ng Lingapin Brothers and Sisters, na nagbahagi ng ilang kaalaman tungkol sa kanilang samahan at layunin nitong makatulong sa mga nangangailangan.
Sa pamamagitan ng Project BUSOG, patuloy na isinusulong ng Gahitan ES ang diwa ng pagmamalasakit, pagbabahagi, at pagtutulungan para sa kapakanan ng mga mag-aaral.
