A two-story classroom building and a new covered court will soon be constructed at Pitombayog National High School (PNHS). School Head Marcelo T. Esteban confirmed the development via Facebook, expressing gratitude to Municipal Mayor Iluminado E. Pobre Jr. for his "๐˜ช๐˜ฎ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฅ๐˜ช๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ฆ ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฐ๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ท๐˜ฆ ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด๐˜ฑ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ด๐˜ฆ." Municipal Engineer Dennis D. Balanay conducted a site inspection on January 12 as a requirement for the project's first phase. This initiative follows the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the school and the Local Government Unit of Mayantoc last December.

The Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) Outfit 143 of Pitombayog National High School joined more than 25,000 delegates from 19 countries for the 33rd Asia-Pacific Regional (APR) Scout Jamboree at Camp Kainomayan, Botolan, Zambales, from December 14โ€“21, 2025.

Themed "Prepared: Scouts for Peace and Sustainable Development," the weeklong event built character, strengthened communities, forged friendships, and inspired memories among scouts and unit leaders of various cultures.

The school registered 27 scouts and designated three (3) scout leaders: SL Emerson Sapinoro, SL Mari Christina Manuel, and SL Jim Laranang.

The next APR Jamboree is scheduled to take place in Thailand in 2029.
