Sarmiento Sr. National High School ang nagsilbing venue para sa Mawab District. Layunin nitong palakasin ang kaalaman at kahandaan ng mga g**o sa pagpapatupad ng mga bagong sistema ng pagkatuto para sa mas de-kalidad na edukasyon ng bawat mag-aaral.

Legacy is not something we wait for. It is something we choose to build, step by step, with courage and purpose.

For Dophnie Joy Paña, that choice began with a single leap into the unfamiliar. In her first venture into journalism, she proved that beginnings, no matter how uncertain, can lead to remarkable destinations. Balancing life as a student-athlete while embracing the craft of storytelling, she rose to the national stage with grit and determination.

Guided by Coach Eloisa Batac, Dophnie carved her name among the country’s best, earning Fourth Place in Mobile Journalism (English) at the National Schools Press Conference 2026 held in Ormoc City, Leyte.

Her journey is a testament to the quiet strength of trying. From the discipline shaped by sports to the voice she found in storytelling, Dophnie shows that greatness does not come from staying within comfort zones. It begins the moment you dare to explore new ground.

This achievement brings pride and honor to Lorenzo S. Sarmiento Sr. National High School, the Division of Davao de Oro, and the entire Region XI.

More than a victory, it is a story that will inspire others to begin.

March 13, 2026 — Matagumpay na idinaos ng Lorenzo S. Sarmiento Sr. National High School (LSSSNHS) ang Ikalawang PTA Assembly para sa Taong Panuruan 2025–2026, kung saan tampok ang pagbibigay ng ₱200,000 pondo mula sa mga opisyal ng lalawigan para sa pagtatayo ng karagdagang comfort rooms sa paaralan.

Sa nasabing pagtitipon, inihayag nina Gobernador Raul Mabanglo at Congressman Jhong Ceniza ang kanilang suporta sa paaralan sa pamamagitan ng paglalaan ng pondo para sa proyektong makatutulong sa pagpapabuti ng pasilidad at kapakanan ng mga mag-aaral.

Naghatid ng pambungad na mensahe ang PTA President at SB Member na si Pinky Jermia, na nagpasalamat sa patuloy na pakikiisa at suporta ng komunidad sa mga programa at proyekto ng paaralan.

Nagbahagi rin ng kanilang mensahe ng suporta sina Mayor Myrill Apit at Vice Mayor Ramil Medina, na nagpahayag ng kanilang patuloy na pakikipagtulungan upang mapalakas ang mga programang pang-edukasyon sa lungsod.

Bukod dito, tinalakay rin sa pagpupulong ang mahahalagang programa at plano ng paaralan, kabilang ang pagpapaliwanag sa bagong kurikulum para sa mga papasok na Grade 11 sa Taong Panuruan 2026–2027, upang mabigyang kaalaman ang mga magulang tungkol sa mga pagbabago at paghahandang isasagawa sa Senior High School.

Sa kabuuan, naging makabuluhan ang Ikalawang PTA Assembly dahil sa aktibong pakikilahok ng mga magulang, g**o, at mga opisyal ng pamahalaan. Sa pamamagitan ng ganitong pagtitipon, higit pang napagtitibay ang ugnayan ng paaralan at komunidad tungo sa patuloy na pag-unlad ng edukasyon at kapakanan ng mga mag-aaral ng LSSSNHS.
