The Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding the welfare of its student interns and supporting the recovery of those involved in the vehicular accident that occurred on the evening of July 15, 2026, in Maramag, Bukidnon.

Immediately upon receiving information about the incident, the University activated its emergency response mechanisms and has been in constant coordination with the local authorities, faculty advisers, and the parents and guardians of the affected students.

University President Dr. Roy G. Ponce, together with key University officials, is personally assessing the situation and directing the Universityโs coordinated response to ensure that the needs of the affected students and their families are promptly addressed. University officials are also closely monitoring the condition of each student and coordinating with the concerned medical facilities to ensure that they receive the necessary medical attention and assistance.

The University is likewise extending all possible support to the students and their families during this difficult time. Appropriate offices have been mobilized to facilitate their immediate needs, including coordination for medical assistance, counseling, transportation, communication with their families, and other forms of support.

While investigations by the concerned authorities are ongoing, the University respectfully appeals to the public to refrain from spreading unverified information and to allow the proper agencies to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. We likewise ask everyone to respect the privacy of our students and their families.

DOrSU assures the public that it is doing everything within its capacity to respond to the situation and safeguard the welfare of its students. The University remains committed to providing continuous assistance to those affected and will work closely with the appropriate authorities and agencies in addressing all matters arising from this unfortunate incident.

Ang Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) nagpabilin nga matinud-anon sa pagpanalipod sa kaayohan sa mga estudyante ug sa pag-abag sa mga nalambigit sa aksidente nga nahitabo niadtong Hulyo 15, 2026, sa Maramag, Bukidnon.

Diha-diha human madawat ang impormasyon mahitungod sa insidente, gipalihok sa Unibersidad ang mga emegency mechanisms niini ug padayon nga nakigkoordinar sa mga lokal nga awtoridad, mga magtutudlo, ug sa mga ginikanan ug guardians sa mga naapektuhang estudyante.

Ang Presidente sa DOrSU, si Dr. Roy G. Ponce, kauban ang mga opisyal sa Unibersidad, personal nga nag-assess sa kahimtang ug nagdumala sa koordinadong pagresponde sa Unibersidad aron maseguro nga matagad dayon ang mga panginahanglanon sa mga naapektuhang estudyante ug sa ilang mga pamilya. Hugot usab nga gibantayan sa mga opisyal sa Unibersidad ang kahimtang sa matag estudyante ug nakigkoordinar sa ospital aron maseguro nga mahatagan sila sa gikinahanglang medikal.

Gihatag usab sa Unibersidad ang tanang posibleng suporta ngadto sa mga estudyante ug sa ilang mga pamilya. Gipalihok na ang mga opisina aron matubag ang ilang hinanaling mga panginahanglanon, lakip ang pagkoordinar sa medikal nga tabang, mga serbisyo sa counseling, transportasyon, komunikasyon uban sa ilang mga pamilya, ug uban pang suporta.

Samtang nagpadayon ang imbestigasyon sa mga awtoridad, naghangyo ang Unibersidad sa publiko nga likayan ang pagpakaylap sa wala pa mapamatud-ang impormasyon samtang nagpadayon pa ang pakisusi sa mga hingtungdang ahensya. Naghangyo usab kami sa tanan nga tahuron ang privacy sa atong mga estudyante ug sa ilang mga pamilya.

Nagapasalig ang DOrSU sa publiko nga gibuhat niini ang tanan aron matabangan ug mapanalipdan ang kaayohan sa mga estudyante. Nagpabiling malig-on ang Unibersidad sa paghatag og padayong suporta sa mga naapektuhan, ingon man sa hugot nga pakig-alayon sa mga hingtungdang awtoridad ug ahensya.
