Following today’s flag ceremony, the Dawan National High School community took a moment to reflect on the Philippines’ role as the 2026 ASEAN Chair and the organization’s inspiring theme: “Navigating Our Future, Together.”

The theme highlights the importance of regional unity, shared responsibility, and forward-looking strategies as Southeast Asian nations work together to address emerging challenges and embrace new opportunities.

As one school community, we are reminded that navigating the future is not a journey we take alone. It calls for cooperation, understanding, respect, and a shared commitment to building a better tomorrow.

The ASEAN spirit begins with us, including learners, teachers, and members of the community who choose to work together, support one another, and contribute meaningfully to society.

𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐬, 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐬: 𝐃𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧 𝐍𝐇𝐒 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬 𝐃𝐏𝐖𝐇!

Dawan National High School is grateful to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Davao Oriental District Engineering Office for responding to the school’s request to repaint the pedestrian lane in front of the school.

School Principal Rachel B. Inting made the request on July 27, 2026, addressed to Engr. Robert S. Palmera, District Engineer, following the removal of the pedestrian lane during the previous road rehabilitation.

On August 10, 2026, the request was granted as the pedestrian lane was repainted, helping provide a safer crossing for learners, teachers, staff, parents, and other pedestrians, especially in the blind curve in front of the school.

Dawan NHS sincerely thanks Engr. Robert S. Palmera and the DPWH Davao Oriental District Engineering Office for their quick response and support in keeping our school community safe.

Ngayong Pandaigdigan at Pambansang Araw ng mga Katutubo, nakikiisa ang Dawan National High School sa buong Kagawaran ng Edukasyon sa pagbibigay-pugay sa mga katutubong pamayanan at sa kanilang mahalagang ambag sa lipunan.

Bilang pagpapakita ng pagpapahalaga sa kultura at pagkakakilanlan, mga g**o, kawani, at mag-aaral ng Dawan NHS ay nagsuot ng katutubong kasuotan, na may malaking paghihikayat na itampok ang mga kasuotang Mandayan at Kagan/Kalagan.

Higit pa sa kasuotan, ang gawaing ito ay pagpapakita ng paggalang, pagmamalaki, at pagpapanatili ng ating mayamang pangkulturang pagkakakilanlan.

Katulad ng paninindigan ng DepEd, patuloy na isinusulong ng Dawan NHS ang dekalidad at inklusibong edukasyon na kumikilala, gumagalang, at nagpapahalaga sa kultura at pagkakakilanlan ng bawat batang Pilipino.

𝐊𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐏𝐀𝐍 | 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐛𝐮𝐛𝐮𝐤𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐮𝐰𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

Matagumpay na sinimulan ng Dawan National High School ang maikling pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika 2026 noong Lunes, Agosto 3, 2026, kaagad matapos ang Flag Ceremony. Tampok sa pagdiriwang ang temang “Wikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon.”

Bilang pakikiisa sa selebrasyon, nagsuot ng makukulay at tradisyunal na kasuotang Pilipino ang mga g**o, kawani ng paaralan, at mga mag-aaral bilang pagpapakita ng pagmamahal at pagpapahalaga sa kulturang Filipino.

Nawa’y maging inspirasyon ang pagdiriwang na ito upang higit pang mapaunlad ang paggamit ng Wikang Filipino kasabay ng makabagong teknolohiya sa pagpapalawak ng kaalaman at pagpapanatili ng ating mayamang kultura. Mabuhay ang Wikang Filipino!

Dawan National High School successfully concluded its 2026 Nutrition Month Celebration through a Creative Food Display held during the Closing Program on July 31, 2026, at 3:00 PM.

Participants showcased colorful, nutritious, and creatively arranged food displays that highlighted the importance of healthy eating. The activity reflected the learners' creativity, teamwork, and appreciation for balanced nutrition while promoting healthier food choices in an engaging and meaningful way.

Congratulations to all participants for their impressive food displays and active participation. Special congratulations to Grade 12-Endurance, under the advisory of Mrs. Ma. Rudith Bacolod, for being recognized as the Best Food Display of this year's Nutrition Month Celebration.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our TLE Coordinator, Ma'am Mary Rose Belinda S. Paleguin, and to our dedicated TLE teachers for their leadership, commitment, and collaborative efforts in successfully organizing the Creative Food Display and promoting the value of proper nutrition among Dawanon learners.

Dawan National High School continues to encourage every Dawanon to practice healthy eating and embrace a lifestyle that promotes wellness for all.

Congratulations to all Dawanons on the successful celebration of Intramurals 2026, held from July 27 to 31, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The celebration culminated in the Closing Program, held on July 31, 2026, at 3:00 PM, marking the end of an exciting week of friendly competition, camaraderie, and school spirit. Your teamwork, determination, discipline, and sportsmanship made this year's event a memorable celebration of unity and school pride.

Win or lose, every Dawanian played an important role in making this event a success. Our heartfelt appreciation goes to our Sports Coordinator, Sir Rey Campion, together with all the coaches, teachers, staff, and volunteers, for their dedication and hard work in making this year's Intramurals a success.

We also extend our sincere gratitude to the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) for capturing and preserving the unforgettable moments of Intramurals 2026.
