Teachers and staff came together to celebrate the joy of the season during the Teachers and Staff Christmas Party, a heartwarming gathering filled with laughter, gratitude, and fellowship.

The celebration provided a well-deserved break from daily responsibilities as educators and non-teaching personnel enjoyed fun games, shared meals, and exciting exchanges of gifts. The event highlighted the strong camaraderie and unity among teachers and staff, reflecting a supportive and harmonious working environment.

The Christmas Party also served as a moment to express appreciation for the dedication, hard work, and commitment of every teacher and staff member throughout the year. Through simple yet meaningful activities, everyone was reminded of the value of teamwork, gratitude, and joy in the workplace.

The celebration concluded with smiles and renewed energy, as teachers and staff looked forward to the coming year with hope, positivity, and continued dedication to service.

A School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) Session titled “Re-Echo of the Conduct of Regional Capacity Building on Understanding Learners with Disabilities to Untrained Receiving Elementary and Secondary Teachers” was successfully conducted on December 16, 2025. The session aimed to equip teachers with essential knowledge and practical strategies in handling and supporting learners with disabilities in inclusive classroom settings.

The activity was led by Ma’am Emily O. Batisting, SNED Coordinator, who shared key learnings, insights, and best practices gained from the Regional Capacity Building. The re-echo session focused on deepening teachers’ understanding of various types of disabilities, recognizing learners’ unique needs, and applying appropriate instructional and classroom management strategies to ensure inclusive and equitable learning opportunities.

During the session, teachers were guided on the importance of early identification, proper intervention, and collaboration among teachers, parents, and support personnel. Ma’am Batisting also emphasized the role of empathy, patience, and positive attitudes in creating a supportive learning environment for learners with disabilities.

The SLAC session served as a valuable platform for untrained receiving elementary and secondary teachers to enhance their competence and confidence in managing diverse learners. Through this initiative, the school reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive education and to providing quality learning experiences that address the varied needs of all learners.

Dawan National High School joyfully celebrated the spirit of Christmas during the School Christmas Program, successfully organized by the Values Club under the leadership of Ma’am Janeth Mapa, Values Coordinator.

The program highlighted the true essence of the season of love, generosity, unity, and gratitude. Through meaningful presentations, Christmas performances, and shared moments of fellowship, learners and teachers alike were reminded of the importance of good values, compassion, and faith during this season of giving.

Ma’am Mapa, together with the dedicated Values teachers and Values Club officers, ensured a well-organized and heartwarming celebration that brought smiles and strengthened the bond within the school community. The event served not only as a festive gathering but also as a reminder that Christmas is best celebrated by living out positive values in everyday life.

The School Christmas Program concluded with a renewed sense of hope and joy, inspiring everyone to carry the spirit of Christmas beyond the celebration and into their actions throughout the year.

On December 16, 2025, a meaningful meeting was conducted between the parents of Grade 12 TVL Automotive students and Valiant as part of the Job-Driven Vocational Program (JDVP). The activity aimed to orient parents on the program’s objectives, training requirements, and the vital role of industry partners in preparing learners for real-world automotive work.

During the meeting, important matters such as on-the-job training expectations, student responsibilities, safety guidelines, and employment opportunities after graduation were discussed. Parents were given the opportunity to raise concerns and clarify questions, ensuring shared understanding and strong support for their children’s participation in the program.

The meeting highlighted the importance of collaboration among the school, parents, and industry partners like Valiant in equipping learners with practical skills, work values, and readiness for future employment in the automotive field.

Dawan National High School conducted a meaningful Faculty and Staff Team Building Activity at Mt. Hamiguitan Escape Resort, bringing together teachers and non-teaching personnel in an atmosphere of unity, collaboration, and shared purpose.

The activity provided opportunities for team bonding, open communication, and reflection, strengthening working relationships and boosting morale. Through interactive activities and shared experiences, participants renewed their commitment to teamwork and professionalism.

Set against the serene natural backdrop of Mt. Hamiguitan, the team building reaffirmed the Dawan NHS family’s dedication to working as one in delivering quality education and service to learners and the community.

Teachers and staff of Dawan National High School took part in an enriching educational visit to the Mt. Hamiguitan Museum, gaining deeper appreciation of the area’s rich biodiversity, cultural heritage, and environmental significance.

The visit served as a meaningful learning experience, allowing them to explore exhibits that showcase the unique flora and fauna of Mt. Hamiguitan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Through guided discussions and observations, teachers and staff strengthened their understanding of environmental conservation, local history, and the importance of preserving natural resources.

More than a tour, the museum visit provided opportunities for reflection, idea-sharing, and inspiration on how local contexts can be integrated into classroom instruction and school programs. It also fostered camaraderie and a shared sense of responsibility toward promoting environmental awareness among learners.

This learning journey reaffirmed Dawan NHS’s commitment to continuous professional growth, experiential learning, and education that connects the classroom to real-world knowledge and community heritage.

Dawan National High School successfully conducted its Faculty and Staff Team Building Activity on December 13–14, 2025, at Mt. Hamiguitan Escape Resort, San Isidro, Davao Oriental, bringing together teachers and non-teaching personnel in a meaningful gathering focused on collaboration, learning, and shared responsibility.

The activity featured timely and relevant discussions on Gender Mainstreaming in Education, highlighting the importance of inclusive, equitable, and gender-responsive practices in the school community. Participants actively engaged in conversations that reinforced respect, sensitivity, and equal opportunities for all learners and stakeholders.

Another key agenda was the Conduct of the School Year-End Assessment, where faculty members aligned plans, clarified procedures, and reflected on school accomplishments and challenges. This session ensured readiness, accuracy, and collective accountability as the school prepares to close the academic year.

Beyond the discussions, the team building fostered stronger camaraderie, open communication, and renewed motivation among the Dawan NHS family. The activity reaffirmed the school’s commitment to professionalism, unity, and continuous improvement in delivering quality education.

Students and teachers came together to celebrate the joy of reading through exciting activities, creative presentations, and inspiring performances that showcased how literacy shapes dreams and builds a brighter future.

Through this event, Dawan NHS continues to nurture a culture of reading, empowering learners to explore new worlds, gain knowledge, and embrace hope through every page they turn.
