A School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) Session titled โRe-Echo of the Conduct of Regional Capacity Building on Understanding Learners with Disabilities to Untrained Receiving Elementary and Secondary Teachersโ was successfully conducted on December 16, 2025. The session aimed to equip teachers with essential knowledge and practical strategies in handling and supporting learners with disabilities in inclusive classroom settings.
The activity was led by Maโam Emily O. Batisting, SNED Coordinator, who shared key learnings, insights, and best practices gained from the Regional Capacity Building. The re-echo session focused on deepening teachersโ understanding of various types of disabilities, recognizing learnersโ unique needs, and applying appropriate instructional and classroom management strategies to ensure inclusive and equitable learning opportunities.
During the session, teachers were guided on the importance of early identification, proper intervention, and collaboration among teachers, parents, and support personnel. Maโam Batisting also emphasized the role of empathy, patience, and positive attitudes in creating a supportive learning environment for learners with disabilities.
The SLAC session served as a valuable platform for untrained receiving elementary and secondary teachers to enhance their competence and confidence in managing diverse learners. Through this initiative, the school reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive education and to providing quality learning experiences that address the varied needs of all learners.

Dawan National High School joyfully celebrated the spirit of Christmas during the School Christmas Program, successfully organized by the Values Club under the leadership of Maโam Janeth Mapa, Values Coordinator.
The program highlighted the true essence of the season of love, generosity, unity, and gratitude. Through meaningful presentations, Christmas performances, and shared moments of fellowship, learners and teachers alike were reminded of the importance of good values, compassion, and faith during this season of giving.
Maโam Mapa, together with the dedicated Values teachers and Values Club officers, ensured a well-organized and heartwarming celebration that brought smiles and strengthened the bond within the school community. The event served not only as a festive gathering but also as a reminder that Christmas is best celebrated by living out positive values in everyday life.
The School Christmas Program concluded with a renewed sense of hope and joy, inspiring everyone to carry the spirit of Christmas beyond the celebration and into their actions throughout the year.

On December 16, 2025, a meaningful meeting was conducted between the parents of Grade 12 TVL Automotive students and Valiant as part of the Job-Driven Vocational Program (JDVP). The activity aimed to orient parents on the programโs objectives, training requirements, and the vital role of industry partners in preparing learners for real-world automotive work.
During the meeting, important matters such as on-the-job training expectations, student responsibilities, safety guidelines, and employment opportunities after graduation were discussed. Parents were given the opportunity to raise concerns and clarify questions, ensuring shared understanding and strong support for their childrenโs participation in the program.
The meeting highlighted the importance of collaboration among the school, parents, and industry partners like Valiant in equipping learners with practical skills, work values, and readiness for future employment in the automotive field.

Teachers and staff of Dawan National High School took part in an enriching educational visit to the Mt. Hamiguitan Museum, gaining deeper appreciation of the areaโs rich biodiversity, cultural heritage, and environmental significance.
The visit served as a meaningful learning experience, allowing them to explore exhibits that showcase the unique flora and fauna of Mt. Hamiguitan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Through guided discussions and observations, teachers and staff strengthened their understanding of environmental conservation, local history, and the importance of preserving natural resources.
More than a tour, the museum visit provided opportunities for reflection, idea-sharing, and inspiration on how local contexts can be integrated into classroom instruction and school programs. Hamiguitan Escape Resort, San Isidro, Davao Oriental, bringing together teachers and non-teaching personnel in a meaningful gathering focused on collaboration, learning, and shared responsibility.
The activity featured timely and relevant discussions on Gender Mainstreaming in Education, highlighting the importance of inclusive, equitable, and gender-responsive practices in the school community. Participants actively engaged in conversations that reinforced respect, sensitivity, and equal opportunities for all learners and stakeholders.
Another key agenda was the Conduct of the School Year-End Assessment, where faculty members aligned plans, clarified procedures, and reflected on school accomplishments and challenges.
