Another step closer to the first School-Based Central Kitchen in the SDO ✨

Soon to rise. ✨
It has long been the vision of SDS Dr. Josephine L. Fadul to establish a central kitchen that will serve hot, nutritious meals to learners. Through the strong commitment and proactive leadership of Sir Ariel Tan, PSDS of Governor Generoso South, this long-envisioned initiative is now steadily taking shape.
What was once a plan is gradually becoming a reality, as selected schools in Governor Generoso South District are set to benefit from the construction of a new Central Kitchen—an important step toward strengthening school nutrition and ensuring better nourishment for every learner.
Our heartfelt appreciation to the Provincial Government of Davao Oriental and the Municipal Government of Governor Generoso, through the Local School Board, for listening, supporting, and turning this shared vision into concrete action. Together, we strengthen school nutrition systems and ensure better, healthier futures for our learners.

Seeds of Hope 🌱
The Provincial Agriculture Office (PAgrO) of Davao Oriental generously supported the SBFP–Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP) Caravan of the Schools Division by adding assorted vegetable seeds for distribution to the six (6) beneficiary schools included in the Starter Package.
Earlier, PAgrO also provided watering cans and fertilizers. Beyond material support, the office extended technical assistance through the valuable expertise shared by Agriculturist Technician Jovanie Pandac, RAgr, guiding schools in establishing and sustaining productive school gardens. This meaningful partnership significantly strengthens nutrition and food security efforts, particularly for Last Mile Schools.
From partnership to practice, this initiative nurtures food security and learner well-being at the margins.
