PRE-ASSESSMENT SCHEDULE FOR INCOMING BSNED FRESHMEN
The Bachelor of Special Needs Education (BSNED) Program under the Faculty of Teacher Education of Davao Oriental State University announces the conduct of the Pre-Assessment for Incoming First-Year Students who intend to enroll in the BSNED program for Academic Year 2026โ2027.
All interested incoming students are encouraged to attend on any of the scheduled dates and complete the necessary requirements.

โOn May 06, 2026, a meaningful celebration of talent, inclusivity, and excellence was successfully held among BSNED students. Led by ๐ ๐ฟ. ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ and ๐ ๐. ๐๐ฏ๐ถ๐ด๐ฎ๐ถ๐น ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฎ, the day began with an engaging morning session featuring the 1st Year BSNED studentsโ theatrical sign language showcase, which highlighted creativity and communication through performance. This was followed by an exciting para-volleyball game along with the viewing of short films and promotional videos that reflected awareness and advocacy for inclusive education.

โThe afternoon session continued with the much-awaited Inclusive Teaching Demonstration Competition participated in by BSNED students from 1st year to 4th year, where future educators showcased their teaching strategies, classroom creativity, and passion for inclusive learning. The event was made even more meaningful through the presence of our judges, ๐ ๐ฟ. ๐ฅ๐ผ๐ฏ๐ถ๐ฒ ๐ฉ. ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ฏ๐ถ๐ด๐ฎ๐ป, ๐ ๐. ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐น๐ฎ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐ฏ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ, and ๐ ๐. ๐๐บ๐ฒ๐น๐น๐ถ๐ฒ ๐. ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ปฬ๐ฎ, whose time, expertise, and valuable feedback contributed greatly to the success of the competition. The Instructional Materials Exhibit Competition also highlighted innovative and functional teaching resources created by students.

The Bachelor of Special Needs Education conducted a Mock Job Interview activity to prepare 4th-year students for real-world teaching applications and professional engagements. The activity provided a realistic interview experience that helped enhance studentsโ confidence, communication skills, professionalism, and overall job readiness.
The session was evaluated by a panel of experts composed of Mr. Robie V. Catubigan, Program Coordinator of Special Needs Education; Ms. Emellie D. Careรฑa, ECE Program Coordinator; and Ms. Mehara A. Magarao, BSNED Senior Faculty. Through guided questioning and constructive feedback, the panelists helped students reflect on their strengths and identified areas for improvement.
Overall, the activity served as a meaningful and practical training experience, equipping future educators with essential skills and insights needed for successful job interviews and professional practice.
