The faculty and staff of San Vicente Elementary School, headed by Principal Irene L. Suico, extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Barangay Officials of Barangay San Vicente, under the leadership of Hon. Barangay Captain Jimmy Coma, for their swift and compassionate response to the schoolโs request for assistance.
Following the recent 7.6 magnitude earthquake, classrooms of Grades 2 and 3 sustained minor structural damages. Based on the inspection conducted by the DPWH, the affected rooms were deemed unsafe for learners to occupy. In light of this, the barangay immediately responded to the schoolโs request to provide a make-shift division at the activity center, ensuring that the classes of Grades 2 and 3 could continue in a safe and conducive environment.
This act of generosity and prompt action reflects the strong partnership between the school and the barangay in prioritizing the welfare and education of the children. The entire San Vicente Elementary School community sincerely appreciates the unwavering support and concern of Barangay Captain Jimmy Coma and his council for the safety and continuous learning of our dear pupils.
Indeed, in times of need, unity and compassion make education possible.
