SELG in Action: Donation Drive

In response to the Department of Education's call for cash and in-kind donations for earthquake-affected schools and communities in Davao Occidental, the Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) Officers of Rabat-Rocamora Mati Central ES 1- SELG wholeheartedly answered the call through a meaningful donation drive.

Under the guidance and leadership of SELG Adviser Mr. W***y B. Seprado, the SELG Officers successfully mobilized support from fellow learners, teachers, and stakeholders. Through their collective efforts, they were able to donate ₱3,898.00 in cash along with various in-kind donations, including noodles, canned goods, and other essential items.

Today, June 18, 2026, these donations were officially turned over to the Schools Division Office of the City of Mati in support of the humanitarian efforts for our fellow learners and families affected by the recent earthquake in Davao Occidental.

RRMCES I extends its sincere appreciation to all students, teachers, parents, and stakeholders who generously shared their blessings. Your kindness and compassion exemplify the true spirit of bayanihan and demonstrate that together, we can bring hope and assistance to those in need.

Rabat-Rocamora Mati Central Elementary School-I proudly extends its sincere appreciation to the 2nd Congressional District Office, Office of Cong. Cheeno Miguel D. Almario, for its valuable support to Brigada Eskwela 2026.

Through the provision of essential cleaning and school preparation materials, this meaningful contribution helped strengthen our efforts in making RRMCES-I cleaner, safer, and more ready for the opening of classes. These supplies will greatly support our teachers, staff, learners, and the entire school community in maintaining a more organized and learner-friendly environment.

RRMCES-I is truly grateful for partners who continue to show genuine concern for education and for the welfare of our learners. Your support reflects the true spirit of bayanihan—working together to prepare a better school for every Batang RRMCES-I.

ATTENTION

Please be informed that classes will resume today following the recent earthquake. After ensuring the safety and structural integrity of the school facilities, normal classroom operations shall continue.

All teachers and learners are advised to report to school as scheduled. Necessary precautionary measures shall remain in place to ensure everyone's safety.

𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗛𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘𝗧𝗬 𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧

Earlier today, during the Flag Ceremony, a strong earthquake was felt in Mati City. In response, the Local Government Unit (LGU) immediately conducted a Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) through the City Engineering Office to inspect and monitor the school grounds and buildings.

This prompt action aims to ensure the safety and well-being of all learners, teachers, and school personnel by assessing the structural condition of school facilities and identifying any possible hazards.

We sincerely thank the LGU of Mati City and the City Engineering Office for their swift response and commitment to maintaining a safe learning environment for everyone.

Let us continue to stay vigilant, follow safety protocols, and keep one another safe.

And just like that, we reached Day 5 of Brigada Eskwela 2026 at Rabat-Rocamora Mati Central Elementary School-I! 🎉

From the first sweep to the final arrangement, from enrollment assistance to classroom preparation, from fixing corners to adding fresh touches around the school — this week reminded us that real bayanihan is built through simple efforts done with genuine heart.

Today’s activities continued with cleaning, organizing, repainting, repairing, enrollment support, and final school preparations. Some brought tools, some brought skills, some brought snacks, and some brought the very important “moral support” — all appreciated, all counted, and all part of the success of Brigada Eskwela. 😄

To our teachers, staff, parents, learners, volunteers, partners, and stakeholders, 𝗱𝗮𝗴𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘁 for showing up and helping RRMCES-I become more ready, welcoming, and learner-friendly for our Batang RRMCES-I.

This week may have ended, but the spirit of service, teamwork, and malasakit continues. Every cleaned space, repaired chair, arranged classroom, processed enrollment form, and shared smile is part of the bigger picture: a school community working together for the welfare of our learners.

After the program, we also shared a joyful moment as we celebrated the birthdays of 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗮 𝗝𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼 and 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗝𝗼𝘆𝗰𝘆 𝗢. 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗲. Happy Birthday, Ma’am Sheila and Ma’am Joycy! 🎂💐 May your year be filled with good health, happiness, strength, and more blessings. Day 4 at Rabat-Rocamora Mati Central Elementary School-I came with more action, more teamwork, and yes—more singot, more pahid, more limpyo! 😄

From wiping floors, arranging chairs, cleaning classrooms, fixing learning spaces, organizing materials, assisting with enrollment, checking facilities, and making every corner ready for our learners, today’s work showed that bayanihan is not just a word—it is something we do together, one task at a time.

Our teachers, parents, learners, volunteers, and school partners once again proved that even the simplest act of service can make a big difference. A cleaned corner, an arranged shelf, a repaired space, or a welcoming smile during enrollment all help create a school environment where children can feel safe, comfortable, and excited to learn.

As we move closer to the final day of Brigada Eskwela 2026, RRMCES-I remains grateful for every helping hand and every heart that continues to serve. The school is slowly becoming more ready, not because of one person alone, but because of a community that cares.

Through the continued support and active participation of our teachers and staff, our LR spaces are being cleaned, arranged, sorted, and prepared to make learning materials more accessible and useful for our learners. The photo documentation shows the spirit of teamwork as personnel work together in organizing books, shelves, learning materials, and other resources.

This activity reminds us that a well-maintained Learning Resource area is not only about cleanliness—it is also about creating a space where learners can explore, read, discover, and grow.
