On June 16, 2026, PULSO held a solemn turnover ceremony to mark the transition of leadership. Outgoing Governor Francis John Loise Allas formally concluded his term, while outgoing PULSO adviser Lendel Kelly B. Ytac, RN, together with the outgoing officers, welcomed the newly elected PULSO officers. United by a shared vision, PULSO begins another chapter with unity, purpose, and a shared dedication to excellence, leadership, and service.

Here’s an important update for all Nursing students of Davao Oriental State University (DORSU) regarding the newly launched CHED AHEAD Grant.

The 𝘼𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙙 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝘿𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 (AHEAD) Grant from the Commission on Higher Education (Philippines) is a financial assistance program that provides a one-time ₱25,000 subsidy to qualified Nursing students. This is intended to help support expenses related to Related Learning Experience (RLE).

On June 10, 2026, at Honey’s Hotel – The Grand Ballroom, the Faculty of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences celebrated the Clinical Graduation Ceremony of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Class of 2026 – PRAESTANTIA. Bearing the theme, “Honoring the Journey, Embracing the Mission to Serve,” the event recognized the accomplishments and unwavering commitment of the graduating student nurses as they completed a significant phase of their professional preparation.

The Clinical Graduation Ceremony stands as a testament to the graduates’ hard work, resilience, and dedication throughout years of academic and clinical training. More than a celebration of achievement, it symbolizes their readiness to uphold the values of excellence, compassion, and service as future healthcare professionals.

Pubmats: DORSU Research, Innovation, and Extension

| Due to the earthquake experienced today, June 8, 2026, classes and office transactions across all campuses of Davao Oriental State University are hereby suspended effective immediately.

The University Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Office and the Incident Management Team are currently conducting building inspections and safety assessments across university facilities.

This suspension is being implemented to allow for a comprehensive evaluation of campus structures and to ensure the safety and well-being of all personnel, students, and stakeholders.

An official memorandum providing further details will be issued subsequently.
