To all S**Cians, especially our freshmen and transferee students, we would like to clarify some misconceptions regarding the โฑ466 CSG Fee.
The CSG Fee is an official student government fee provided for in the Constitution and By-Laws of the College Student Government, which has been approved by the administration.
As stated in ARTICLE XVIII, Section 1:
โThe CSG fee shall be collected upon enrollment by the CSG VP-Finance and shall be deposited to the care of the Business Office.โ
Therefore, the CSG Fee is not an unofficial or personal collection. It is an established fee of the College Student Government and is collected through the proper process upon enrollment.
The CSG Fee is intended to support the functions, programs, activities, and services of the College Student Government for the benefit of the students. Its utilization is subject to the appropriate procedures, accountability, and approval.
We understand that this may be unfamiliar, particularly to those who are new to S**C. If you have questions or concerns regarding the CSG Fee, we encourage you to visit the CSG Office personally or send a message to the official CSG page
for proper clarification rather than relying on hearsay or misinformation.
As your student leaders, we commit ourselves to transparency, accountability, and responsible stewardship of every resource entrusted to the CSG.
