In light of the earthquake experienced this morning and the continuing aftershocks being felt in our area, we would like to inform you that the Local Government Unit of Matanao has directed that classes in both public and private schools shall not resume until the necessary safety clearances have been issued by the appropriate authorities.
The safety and well-being of our students remain our highest priority. While our campus continues to conduct thorough inspections of all buildings and facilities, and no significant damage has been observed thus far, we are committed to complying with all government safety requirements before resuming normal operations.
We have already communicated with the LGU regarding the required inspection and clearance of our campus. However, with the overwhelming demands for assessment by the authorized office, we anticipate that we may not be able to secure the required clearance until later this week.
Considering the ongoing aftershocks and the uncertainty regarding the timing of the official clearance, we respectfully request parents and guardians who are able and who prefer to do so to fetch their children from the campus at their earliest convenience.
For our campus residents whose parents or guardians are unable to pick them up at this time, please be assured that they will remain under the care and supervision of our dormitory personnel. We kindly ask parents to coordinate directly with the respective dormitory deans regarding their child's arrangements and status.
With this, classes and regular work operations will resume on Monday, June 15, 2026.
We will continue to provide timely updates as more information becomes available and as official advisories are issued by the authorities. Thank you for your cooperation, understanding, and prayers as we work together to ensure the safety and well-being of every student entrusted to our care.
Stay safe, and God bless everyone!
Sincerely,
South Philippine Adventist College Administration
