Today marked an inspiring gathering at Matalam Central ES as Principal Juheri K. Pagocag delivered the 2026 State of the School Address (SOSA), with the support of our PTA officers headed by the PTA President Mr. Nick Valiente, teaching and non teaching personnel.
We are greatfull to the parents who attended and actively participated in this meaningful event, bringing joy and inspiration to everyone.

The program was not only a celebration of our school’s achievements but also a showcase of the support and collaboration of every member of our community. 💛

Passing the Key: Outgoing SELG President Deniel R. Hubaldo Formally Hands Over To Akeelah Ynouee B. Balimbingan at Matalam Central ES

Learners, parents, teachers and school administrators gathered at Matalam Central ES Covered Court for the official turnover ceremony of the School's Student Empowerment and Leadership Governance (SELG) body, marking a smooth transition of leadership from outgoing President Deniel R. Hubaldo to incoming President Akeellah Ynouee B. Balimbingan.

The event opened with a welcome address from the School Head, Sir Juheri K. Pagocag, who commended the outgoing SELG Team for their contributions over the past term.

In his farewell speech, Hubaldo reflected on the team's journey highlighting challenges overcome and milestones achieved through teamwork, dedication and cooperation.He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the former principal, Ma'am Julie S. Pascual, for the unwavering support and guidance.

The symbolic turnover moment followed with Hubaldo presenting the SELG Key, signifying the transfer of responsibility.

In her acceptance speech, Balimbingan outlined her team's vision. She pledged that the learners' voice be heard, respected and valued.
Following the handover, Sir Juheri K. Pagocag stepped forward to lead the newly elected SELG Officers in taking their official pledge.

Matalam Central Elementary School (MCES) expresses its sincere gratitude for the successful Year-End Deworming Activity conducted for the health and well-being of our learners. Special thanks to our District Nurse Ma’am Cecile Segumban for leading and supporting this important initiative.

Matalam CES Empowers Pupils Through Young Scientist Program

Matalam Central Elementary School successfully implemented the Young Scientist Enrichment Program Plus (YSEP+) for Quarter 3 and Quarter 4, providing learners with engaging hands-on science activities designed to enhance their curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific skills.

A total of 110 learners participated in the activity, including 50 Grade 4 pupils, 33 Grade 5 pupils, and 27 Grade 6 pupils. The program for Grades 4 and 5 was conducted on February 19, 2026, while the Grade 6 session was held on March 3, 2026.

Through the guidance of activity facilitator Ma’am Leslie Ann Pingoy and her team, together with YSEP Coordinator Rahima K. Pagocag and teacher-facilitators Rhea Irene B. Estimada, Jasnia D. Manampad, and Afnan Imbong, the learners actively participated in different science experiments that made learning more meaningful, interactive, and enjoyable.

The activity was conducted in partnership with Studentship Philippines through the support of its President, Kristoni Go. The school also expresses its sincere appreciation to the supportive school principal, Juheri K. Pagocag, for the continuous encouragement and support in making this program possible.

The successful implementation of YSEP+ reflects the school’s strong commitment to developing innovative, curious, and scientifically inclined learners.

MCES: Bayanihan In Action!

Isang taos-pusong pasasalamat sa lahat ng mga nakiisa at tumulong sa ating isinagawang Centralized Bayanihan ngayong araw ika- 4 ng Marso 2026. Ang inyong oras, lakas, at dedikasyon ay patunay ng tunay na pagkakaisa at malasakit para sa ating paaralan at mga mag-aaral.

Pinangunahan ito nina Dr. Juheri Pagocag, School Principal, at PTA President Nicanor Valiente kasama ang masisipag na PTA Officials, naging matagumpay ang gawaing ito dahil sa inyong mahusay na pamumuno at suporta.

Maraming salamat sa lahat ng mga magulang, g**o, at volunteers na nagbigay ng kanilang tulong at lakas. Sama-sama nating pinagtibay ang diwa ng bayanihan para sa mas maayos at mas ligtas na kapaligiran ng ating mga mag-aaral.
