The Municipal Meet held on August 15, 2026 became more than a day of competition for the student-athletes of Lampayan National High School (LNHS). It was a celebration of determination, teamwork, sportsmanship, and the strong support of the school and community. Behind every performance was a collective effort. Students trained and competed with courage, coaches devoted their time and expertise, parents extended their support, and community partners helped make the participation of the athletes possible.
Special appreciation goes to the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and the school for their initiative in providing snacks and transportation support for the participating athletes. The parents who willingly supported their children also deserve recognition for their encouragement and commitment.
Heartfelt gratitude is extended to all the coaches who dedicated their time and effort to prepare the athletes. Their guidance went beyond sports skills, teaching students the values of discipline, perseverance, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
The volleyball teams, under the guidance of Sir Eugene Canay and Ma'am Ivy Rose Pascual, displayed determination throughout the competition. The boys' volleyball team secured 3rd place, while the girls' volleyball team finished 4th.
The takraw team, coached by Ma'am Razel L. Lopez, also showed impressive teamwork and perseverance, earning 3rd place in the competition.
In individual events, Alima and Princess Joy earned 2nd place in shot put, while Calan, Shaniza Jade also secured 2nd-place finishes in their respective events.
In chess, Alyssa Jhienne M. Versola and Angel Kaye S. Maglangit represented LNHS under the guidance of Coach Dionel D. Esteban, with Ma'am Madeline N. Permacio serving as co-coach.
In basketball, it represented by Robert Ryan Labramonte, Lorenz Junnel Londres and Patrick James Varga.
The school community also extends its sincere appreciation to Hon. Leslie Bonjoc, Barangay Captain, for the valuable support extended to the athletes, particularly in helping provide transportation for the delegation. Her support demonstrates the important role of community leaders in encouraging young people to participate and excel in sports.
Recognition is likewise given to Ma'am Dianne Hermie B. Pelegros, Sports Coordinator, for her coordination, dedication, and efforts in ensuring that the school's participation in the Municipal Meet was properly supported.
The athletes' achievements were also made possible through the leadership of School Principal Dr. Melvin S. Funa, EdD, whose continued support encourages students and teachers to pursue excellence both in academics and extracurricular activities.
The Municipal Meet may have lasted only a day, but the lessons it offered will remain with the students. Every game played, every event completed, and every medal earned represents hours of preparation, sacrifice, courage, and determination.
More importantly, the event reminded everyone that victory is not measured only by medals and rankings. It is also measured by the friendships formed, the lessons learned, the courage to compete, and the people who stood behind every athlete.
To the student-athletes, coaches, parents, PTA officers, school personnel, school leaders, sports coordinator, and community partners, thank you for making the Municipal Meet a meaningful and memorable experience for LNHS.
