Happy World Teachers Day
September 5 - October 5, 2026
Today, I offer my grand salute to all our teachers. You are the unsung heroes who continue to shape minds, build character, and inspire dreams despite countless challenges. Behind every successful learner is a teacher who invested time, patience, compassion, and sacrifice. Your dedication goes beyond the classroom. You serve as mentors, counselors, second parents, and champions of every child's future. For your selfless service and steadfast commitment, I extend my deepest respect and gratitude.
As educators, we recognize that our mission today is more complex than ever before. Our schools are not only addressing learning gaps; we are also confronting and managing the growing concerns on the mental health and well-being of our learners. Schools are sacred spaces for teaching and learning, where children from different social backgrounds, tribes, faiths, and cultures come together. Here, they learn not only reading, writing, and numeracy but also the values of respect, understanding, coexistence, and unity amid diversity.
As we move forward, let us always remember our battle cry: “Basta sa Cotabato, Bata ang Numero Uno.” Yet this mission can only be fulfilled when those who care for children are also cared for. My dear teachers, please take care of yourselves. Prioritize your health, nurture your well-being, and choose happiness each day. You cannot pour from an empty cup. Your welfare matters because you are the heart of our schools and the hope of our learners.
As we celebrate this special occasion, let us continue to embody the spirit of Unity. May we remain united as one DepED, One Cotabato—diverse in cultures, rich in traditions, and steadfast in our shared vision of a peaceful, progressive, and educated community.
To all our teachers: Happy World Teachers’ Day! Teachers, ikaw ay mahalaga. Ikaw ay inspirasyon. Ikaw ay bayani.
Mabuhay ang mga g**o! Mabuhay tayong lahat!
