Together in Purpose: Alip Lalabuan ES Strengthens Teacher Unity Through Team-Building

Alip Lalabuan Elementary School, under the leadership of School Head Monalawan Magongcar, successfully conducted a one-day school-based team building activity aimed at strengthening collaboration, values formation, and professional commitment among teachers. Anchored on the theme “Together in Purpose: Encouraging Minds Through Mentorship, Character Building, and Cooperative Faith Exploration,” the activity highlighted the importance of unity, shared responsibility, and faith-based guidance in the teaching profession.

The program opened with an Emoji Check-In, allowing teachers to creatively express their current emotions and set a positive tone for the day. This simple yet meaningful activity fostered openness, emotional awareness, and mutual understanding among participants. It was followed by the interactive game Two Truths and a Lie, which encouraged camaraderie, laughter, and deeper personal connections as teachers learned more about one another beyond their classroom roles.

One of the core highlights of the activity was the Collaboration and Communication exercises designed to strengthen teamwork and problem-solving skills. Alip Lalabuan Elementary School Observes 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women

Alip Lalabuan, Masiu, Lanao del Sur — December 2025

Alip Lalabuan Elementary School, under the leadership of School Principal Monalawan Magongcar, actively joined the nationwide 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) with a series of meaningful activities aimed at strengthening awareness, promoting respect, and empowering women and girls within the school and the wider community.

School GAD Coordinator Jehaylin Rangiris, who recently attended an orientation focused on the 18-Day Campaign, the orientation forms part of the school’s Gender and Development (GAD) Plan, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to mainstreaming gender sensitivity into its programs and activities. During the orientation, the GAD Coordinator gained deeper insights into the national purpose of the campaign, its importance in preventing violence, and the need for consistent school-level compliance. These learnings were shared with the faculty to ensure that all activities were well aligned with official guidelines and carried out with clear intention and impact.

In the school, the observance formally opened with shared talks from selected teachers, who discussed the purpose and importance of the campaign. They emphasized how the movement seeks not only to protect women from all forms of abuse but also to cultivate a culture of empathy, dignity, and safety—values that the school continuously upholds.

Principal Monalawan Magongcar delivered a significant message highlighting the role of schools in shaping young minds towards becoming advocates of gender equality. Alip Lalabuan Elementary School Joins 2025 Division Athletic Meet and GSP Camp in Wao

The Alip Lalabuan Elementary School, headed by School Head Monalawan Magongcar, proudly joined this year’s 2025 Division Athletic Meet and Girl Scouts of the Philippines Camp, held in the Municipality of Wao from December 7 to 11, 2025. With the guidance of the school’s GSP Coordinator Ma’am Soraida Dumaraya, along with the dedicated teachers of Alip Lalabuan Elementary School, the delegation actively participated in various events that showcased teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, and camaraderie.

The division-wide activity gathers participants from 18 municipalities of Lanao del Sur I under the leadership of Schools Division Superintendent Bae Dr. Rubina Mimbantas Macabunar. SDS Macabunar emphasized the significance of this year’s theme, “LDS1: Stronger Together, through Sports and Scouting ” highlighting how the message aligns deeply with the division’s vision of unity, collaboration, and continuous improvement in learner development and school performance.

The Municipality of Masiu, where Alip Lalabuan Elementary School belongs, showed exceptional support and solidarity during the first day of the event. Alip Lalabuan, Masiu, Lanao del Sur — With the inspiring theme “Tulay ang Pagbasa sa Bukas na Puno ng Pag-asa” (“Reading is a Bridge to a Future Full of Hope”), Alip Lalabuan Elementary School proudly celebrated the month-long observance of National Reading Month, led by its dedicated school principal, Monalawan Magongcar. The celebration, held throughout November, embodied the school’s strong commitment to nurturing literacy, strengthening comprehension, and cultivating a lifelong love for reading among learners.

Alip Lalabuan Elementary School Successfully Administers Early Language, Literacy, and Numeracy Assessment for Grade 4 Learners

Alip Lalabuan Elementary School, under the Masiu B District, successfully conducted the Administration of the Early Language, Literacy, and Numeracy Assessment (ELLNA) for Grade 4 learners. The activity was spearheaded by the school head, Monalawan Magongcar, with the aim of evaluating learners’ foundational skills in reading, writing, and numeracy — essential competencies for lifelong learning and academic success.

The ELLNA serves as a vital tool in assessing the learners’ mastery of basic skills acquired in the early grades. MASIU, LANAO DEL SUR – Buong siglang ipinagdiwang ng Alip Lalabuan Elementary School sa distrito ng Masiu B ang Buwan ng Wika ngayong taon. Ang tema ng pagdiriwang ay “Paglinang sa Filipino at Katutubong Wika: Makasaysayan sa Pagkakaisa ng Bansa.”

Sa pangunguna ni Gng. Monalawan Magongcar, punong-guro ng paaralan, at ni Gng. Omirah Guiling, koordineytor ng Filipino, nagkaroon ng iba’t ibang aktibidad na nagpakita ng yaman ng ating kultura at wika.

Sa kanyang mensahe, tinalakay ni Gng. Guiling ang tema ng Buwan ng Wika, na nagbibigay-diin sa kahalagahan ng pagpapayabong ng Filipino at mga katutubong wika bilang susi sa pagkakaisa ng bansa. Binigyang-diin naman ni Gng. Magongcar sa kanyang pambungad na pananalita ang malaking papel ng pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika sa pagpapalakas ng ating pagkakakilanlan bilang mga Pilipino.

“Sa PPAN: Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat!”

Alip Lalabuan Elementary School, Masiu B District – July 27, 2025 — In celebration of Nutrition Month 2025, Alip Lalabuan Elementary School successfully held its culmination program with the theme: “Sa PPAN: Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat!” The event brought together the entire school community to raise awareness and promote the importance of proper nutrition among students, teachers, and parents.

Under the leadership of the dedicated school principal, Ma’am Monalawan Magongcar, the school showcased a vibrant and meaningful program filled with engaging and educational activities. The celebration was aligned with the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN), emphasizing unity and collective action in achieving nutritional well-being for all.

Three dynamic groups were formed—Go Foods, Grow Foods, and Glow Foods—comprising both students and teachers. These groups served as the foundation of the program’s interactive and competitive activities, which were not only fun but also informative.

On June 16, 2025, Alip Lalabuan Elementary School officially opened its doors for the new academic year under the nationwide initiative Oplan Balik Eskwela. Spearheaded by the Department of Education and supported by the local community, the program aims to ensure a smooth, safe, and well-organized school opening for all learners.

Under the leadership of School Principal Monalawan Magongcar, the school warmly welcomed returning students, parents, and staff with a clean and well-prepared campus. As part of the Oplan Balik Eskwela activities, learners were provided with essential school supplies to support their educational needs. These included notebooks, pencils, paper, and other basic materials—helping to ease the burden on families and encourage school attendance.

Brigada Eskwela 2025 was successfully conducted at Alip Lalabuan Elementary School from June 9 and will run until 13, anchored on the national theme “Sama-sama para sa Bayang Bumabasa.” This year’s theme emphasized the importance of unity in fostering a culture of reading and learning across the nation.

Led by the dedicated School Head, Monalawan Magongcar, some of the school community came together to prepare classrooms, clean school grounds, repaint facilities, repair furniture, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for the upcoming school year. More importantly, this year’s Brigada Eskwela highlighted collaborative efforts aimed at improving literacy among learners.

The spirit of bayanihan was deeply felt as parents, teachers, barangay officials, community members, and even former students of Alip Lalabuan Elementary School volunteered their time, skills, and resources. Centralized Closing exercises and moving-up ceremony 2025.

On the 14th of April, Alip Lalabuan Elementary School, headed by School Principal Monalawan Magongcar, joined the 24th centralized closing exercises for school year 2024-2025.

Masiu B District, under the supervision of central principal Junairah G**o of Sharief Maruhom Bae Central Elementary School, concluded the year-end rites for the grade 6 graduates and kindergarten movers.

Schools of Masiu B District that joined the closing exercises and moving-up ceremony are Sharief Maruhom Bae Central Elementary, Lalabuan Elementary School, Buisan Elementary School, and Alip Lalabuan Elementary School.

Central principal Junairah G**o gave the welcome message and formally opened the event. Principal Junairah puts emphasis on the hard work of the school principals, facilities, and staff of Masiu B District in conducting the centralized closing exercises and moving-up ceremony.

Engineer Juharie Minandang graced the occasion as guest speaker, an alumnus of the central school of Masiu B District. The speaker's presence is indeed a testament and motivation to the graduates to put effort into their studies despite any given situation or challenges on their journey to education.

Along with the guest speaker, the representative of Schools Division Superintendent Sahanee Sumagayan is in the presence of Dr. Jocelyn Bantasan, to whom she emphasized delivering the message of our schools division superintendent—and that is the importance of education in molding the future of our young learners.

Former district supervisor Hedjara G**o also graced the event with her wit and remarkable closing message that lightened up the mood of the audience.

To the graduates of Alip Lalabuan Elementary School, aim high and keep in mind the message of this year's year-end rites theme, which is, be one of the foundations for a better Bangsamoro Region!
