Empowered and Ready: The Northern Zambales College Immersion Program

The Northern Zambales College Immersion Program is in full swing, providing our students with invaluable hands-on experience and professional training. Through our strong partnership with the 1st PMFC, Zambales PPO, students are undergoing rigorous preparation to meet the demands of public service.
Under the supervision of PMAJ APOLONIO P ABLAN JR, OIC, our teams are actively engaged in diverse tactical and life-saving modules at the 1st PMFC Headquarters in Brgy. Malimanga, Candelaria:

Tactical Proficiency: Team 3 is mastering the Fundamentals of Marksmanship under the guidance of PMSg Gerald Martin Daguna, focusing on precision and discipline.

Emergency Response: Team 2 is gaining critical Basic Life Support (BLS) skills led by PSSg Derrick Harvey D Acera, ensuring they are equipped to save lives in emergency situations.

Technical Skills: Team 1 is honing Basic Knot Tying Techniques with PCpl Gilvan A Gamotea Jr, emphasizing the practical skills required for field operations.

Nurturing Mind and Soul: A Full Circle of Service in Sta. Martha

True community service starts with a warm gesture and ends with a lasting impact. Our immersion in Sta. Martha, Palauig, Zambales this April 22, 2026, was a testament to that balance. We didnโ€™t just show up to talk; we showed up to connect, learn, and give back in every way possible.

The day began on a high note with a Feeding Program, serving bowls of warm sopas to the community. It was the perfect way to break the ice and share a meal before diving into our scheduled BCPC Awareness and Basic First Aid seminars. These sessions were about empowering the residents with knowledge, but we soon found ourselves in the role of the students. The people of Sta. Martha shared their incredible wisdom on herbal medicines and survival techniques for the bundok and bukid, skills that are essential when medical help is far away.

To leave a lasting mark on the land that welcomed us so warmly, our Palauig Interns led a tree-planting activity following the seminars. It was a symbolic way to ensure that our visit contributes to the future of the communityโ€™s environment.

None of this would have been possible without the immense hospitality of the people of Sta. Martha, who treated us with such respect and kindness throughout the day. I also want to express my deepest gratitude to my fellow officers and all the Palauig Interns. Your hard work from stirring the giant pots of sopas to digging holes for the saplings made this day a resounding success.

We arrived in Palauig as students, but we left with a deeper understanding of what it truly means to serve with heart and respect.

โ€œITAAS ANG ANTAS: Seminar at Outreach Program para sa Komunidadโ€

Our commitment to service continues! Following our successful mission in Sta. Cruz, Batch Maragtas 2026 brought the "Itaas ang Antas" initiative to the heart of Malabon, Candelaria, Zambales.

This immersion was a profound experience for all of us. We began by sharing the Word of God, grounding our service in faith and reminding ourselves of the higher purpose behind our chosen profession.

As the day progressed, we conducted vital seminars on Anti-Illegal Drug Awareness and Basic First Aid. It was an honor to share the knowledge weโ€™ve gained over the past four years in Criminology to help empower the residents with skills for safety and preparedness.

In the midst of our activities, we held a Feeding Program (Sopas) to share a warm meal and a moment of fellowship with the community members, fueling everyone for the rest of our program.

We also extended our hands-on services through a Libreng Gupit (Free Haircut) and a Clean-Up Drive, working together to ensure a cleaner and healthier environment for the barangay.

This experience reinforces our belief that a Criminology studentโ€™s duty goes beyond the classroom, it is about serving with "Utak at Lakas" and, most importantly, with a heart for the people.
