Historic First as Lim-Mercado assumes office as Assistant to the Principal
Bolo National High School proudly celebrates its first Assistant to the School Principal in the person of Ma’am Catherine L. Mercado, during her designation ceremony on July 23, 2026.
Having already been a dedicated member of the Bolo NHS family, Ma’am Catherine’s appointment is a testament to her commitment, competence, and unwavering passion for education. Her new leadership role reflects the trust and confidence placed in her ability to help lead the school toward greater heights.
During the celebration, Sir Alfredo R. Sese, PSDS of District 9, extended his heartfelt congratulations and shared meaningful words of wisdom. He encouraged Ma’am Catherine to embrace every responsibility with integrity, humility, resilience, and a servant’s heart, emphasizing that true leadership is rooted in service, collaboration, and a genuine concern for the welfare of learners and the entire school community.
In the same spirit, Sir Ronan C. Relova, School Principal I, expressed his sincere support and encouragement to Ma’am Catherine. He affirmed his confidence that, through teamwork, mutual respect, and shared dedication, they will work hand in hand in strengthening the programs, initiatives, and accomplishments of Bolo National High School for the benefit of every learner and stakeholder.
Earlier in the day, Schools Division Superintendent Sir Nelson S. Morales Jr. extended his congratulations to Ma’am Mercado and gave insights on becoming an effective Asst. to the Principal.
Assuming the position, Ma’am Catherine is expected to provide valuable support in school leadership and management. Her responsibilities include assisting in the implementation of DepEd programs and policies, coordinating academic and co-curricular activities, supporting teachers in instructional improvement, monitoring school operations, strengthening partnerships with stakeholders, promoting learner welfare, and helping ensure that the school’s vision, mission, and goals are effectively achieved.
