"Let both grow together until the harvest." Matthew 13:30

In Jesus' parable of the wheat and the w**ds, a farmer's field is sown with good seed but overnight, an enemy scatters w**ds among it. When the servants ask if they should pull the w**ds out right away, the farmer says, "Let both grow together until the harvest."

Similarly, this is what our classrooms or our friend groups look like. Good intentions growing alongside bad habits. Focus growing alongside distraction. Faith growing alongside doubt. And almost so often, our first instinct, like the servants, is to yank out anything that looks like a w**d, in ourselves or in the people around us, right away.

But Jesus reminds us that growth needs time. The classmate who struggles today might be the one who thrives tomorrow. The habit we're ashamed of doesn't have to be the end of our story. Even teachers, who plant seeds every single day, may not see the harvest for years.

So let's be patient with our growth, and with each other's. Not every w**d we see today will still be a w**d at harvest time.

We're excited to have each of you on board and look forward to working with you throughout the school year. Thank you for stepping up to serve and for being willing to share your time, ideas, and talents with the club.

We hope this journey helps you grow, build new skills, and become better communicators and teammates. May we learn from one another, work together, and create meaningful experiences for our fellow students throughout this journey.

SHS Mother English Club is honored to be recognized as the Best Club for the School Year 2025–2026. This achievement is the result of the hard work, dedication, and teamwork of everyone who has been part of the club.

As we close this chapter, the S.Y. 2025–2026 officers are now officially signing off. This journey may be ending, but the experiences and lessons we’ve gained will stay with us. We leave with pride in what we’ve accomplished and with hope for the next set of leaders who will continue what we started.💙
