DISTRICT CAMPUS JOURNLISM: The Net advisers bags placement during Training Workshops
To capacitate school paper advisers, Serafin C. Rosero Memorial High School (SCRMHS) school paper publication The Harvest hold District Training Workshop on Campus Journalism for School Paper Advisers from August 1-3, 2025. The three day training workshop had brought new learnings to the attendees.
During the first day of the Campus Journalism activity, different sessions started to teach school paper advisers about the basic know how in writing campus articles. Topics covered by the lecturers are Sports Writing, Column Writing, and Copy Reading and Headline Writing, News Writing, Feature Writing, Editorial Writing and Editorial Cartooning. Distinguished lectures who cascade their slides were Ms. Maria Carla Aganan, Ma'am Mary Grace Ojeda, Mr. Joseph D. Delos Reyes, Mr. Paul Jowen R. Blancaver, Ma'am Mary Ann Habana, and Madam Vianna Caballero.
This training seminar workshop is a timely activity in the Milagros West District since that there were regional and national qualifiers from the MWD. The training seminar workshop helped the advisers to train their future RSSPC and NSPC winners.
The Taisan HS The Net advisers were among the participants who joined the training they were Mr. Mark Anthony A. Oliva for (English) and Mr. Jolas D. Lancetas (Filipino). During the closing program, the announcement of winners from the different categories were given.
Mr. Oliva won in English Category 2nd Place in Editorial, 1st Place in Column Writing, 1st Place Sci-Tech and 1st Place in Editorial Cartooning. In Filipino category, Mr. Lancetas won 2nd Place in Editorial Cartooning, 2nd in Column Writing, 3rd Sports Writing and 1st in Sci-Tech.
