Kaisa ang buong paaralan sa paggunita ng isa sa pinakamahalagang bahagi ng ating modernong kasaysayan—EDSA PEOPLE POWER REVOLUTION. Ngayon sa ika-40 taong anibersaryo ng mapayapang rebolusyon na nagwakas sa diktadurya sa ating bayan, patuloy na buhay ang aral ng isang bayang nagkakaisa para sa pagtamo ng demokrasya.

Buong pagmamalaking nakikiisa sa buong bayan at buong Pilipinas ang sintang paaralan sa paggunita ng isa sa mga makasaysayang araw ng ating bayan noong panahon ng Ikalawang Digmaang Pandaigdig—𝑨𝑵𝑮 𝑷𝑨𝑮𝑫𝑨𝑶𝑵𝑮 𝑵𝑮 𝑯𝑼𝑲𝑩𝑶𝑵𝑮 𝑨𝑴𝑬𝑹𝑰𝑲𝑨𝑵𝑶 𝑺𝑨 𝑩𝑨𝒀𝑩𝑨𝒀𝑰𝑵 𝑵𝑮 𝑴𝑨𝑹𝑰𝑽𝑬𝑳𝑬𝑺 noong umaga ng Pebrero 15, 1945.

Ang pagdaong na ito ay bahagi ng serye ng opensiba laban sa mga Hapon na isa sa naging dahilan ng pagtatapos ng Ikalawang Digmaang Pandaigdig.

Buong pusong nagpupugay ang paaralan sa mga bayaning magiting at matapang na ipinaglaban ang bayan, kalayaan at kapayaan.

Official Account of the Landing in Mariveles by the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office

During the Second World War, the municipality of Mariveles served as the temporary camp for the captured Filipino and American soldiers who defended Corregidor and Bataan. While the 38th Division engaged in final operations to isolate Bataan Peninsula, plans for the role which XI Corps would play in accomplishing the overall Sixth Army mission of opening Manila Bay neared completion.

On 3 February 1945, the Commanding General, Sixth Army, received from the Commander-in-Chief, Southwest Pacific Area, a radio message outlining the general plan for the clearance of Manila Bay. This plan, as originally conceived, envisaged the earliest possible seizure of Bataan to include Mariveles, the securing of Corregidor and the south coast of Manila Bay in the general area of Ternate. The capture of Corregidor was to be effected by shore-to-shore assault or by parachute drop, or both, as indicated by the tactical situation after effective air neutralization.

In accordance with the above directive, the Army Commander planned a southward drive down the east coast of Bataan with one regimental combat team, reinforced, in conjunction with a shore-to-shore assault, mounted from Subic Bay, employing one regimental combat team, reinforced by one infantry battalion, to seize positions on the south coast of Bataan in the Mariveles Bay area. A combined shore-to-shore and airborne assault was to be made on Corregidor employing one infantry battalion, reinforced, for the shore-to-shore operation from Mariveles Bay, and the 503rd Parachute Infantry, mounted by the Eight Army from Mindoro, to be dropped on the fortress island. Plans for the seizure of Ternate and the method of their ex*****on were discussed under operations of XIV Corps.

On 5 February 1945, the Commanding General, Sixth Army, received approval for his plan for the opening of Manila Bay from the Commander-in-Chief, Southwest Pacific Area, and designated 12 February 1945 as D-Day for planning purposes. The Commander-in-Chief further directed Allied Naval Forces to support the operation by transporting and escorting amphibious assault forces and by conducting preliminary bombardments of Mariveles Bay and Corregidor, as practicable, prior to operations and by fire support during the landing operation. Allied Air Forces were directed to institute at once, heavy preliminary neutralization of the defenses of the southern coast of Bataan Peninsula and Corregidor and to make plans to drop on Corregidor, such elements of the 503rd Parachute Infantry as the Commanding General, Sixth Army, might designate.

To summarize, the finalized plan for the Mariveles – Corregidor Operation called for a drive down the east coast of Bataan by the 1st Regimental Combat Team, reinforced; an amphibious assault landing in Mariveles Bay on 15 February 1945 by the 151st RCT, reinforced by the 3rd Battalion, 34th Infantry, plus supporting combat and service elements, followed by the establishment of control over the southern tip of Bataan; an airborne assault on “Topside”, Corregidor, by the 503rd Parachute RCT beginning at 8:30 AM. This action on 15 February 1945, silenced the big guns that covered an approach to the island of Corregidor and paved the way for the landings that would take place there on the following day. The 38th Infantry Division went ashore on the southern tip of the Bataan Peninsula at Mariveles, Bataan.

Ito po isang mekanismo ng DepEd upang matantya ang bilang ng mga mag-eenrol sa susunod na pasukan na makakatulong sa tamang pagpaplano ng isang paaralan.

Magkakaroon pa po opisyal na enrolment ilang linggo bago ang pasukan.
