📢 SCVC STUDENT COUNCIL STATEMENT
NO TO PAX SILICA

Ang Pax Silica ay isang U.S.-led initiative na naglalayong palakasin ang AI o Artificial Intelligence, semiconductor, at technology supply chain sa pamamagitan ng pagtatayo ng AI industrial hub sa New Clark City. Ayon sa pamahalaan, inaasahang makapagdadala ito ng pamumuhunan, makalilikha ng trabaho, at makatutulong sa pag-unlad ng teknolohiya sa bansa.

Gayunpaman, bilang kinatawan ng mga kabataan, naninindigan ang SCVC Student Council na hindi dapat maisantabi ang kapakanan ng sambayanang Pilipino kapalit ng anumang proyekto.

Mariing ipinapahayag ng konseho ang aming suporta sa mga magsasaka, mangingisda, at mga lokal na komunidad na maaaring maapektuhan ng malawakang land conversion, pagtaas ng pangangailangan sa tubig at enerhiya, at iba pang posibleng epekto sa kalikasan at kabuhayan.Hindi man direktang binenta ang soberansya ng pilipinas,may mga pangamba parin na maaaring magbigay ng labis na impluwensya sa mga dayuhan para sa kanilang interes kung hindi sapat ang proteksyon sa pambansang kapakanan ng mga mamamayang Pilipino.Naniniwala kaming ang tunay na kaunlaran ay hindi lamang nasusukat sa dami ng pamumuhunan, kundi sa pagprotekta sa ating likas na yaman, seguridad sa pagkain,karapatan ng bawat Pilipino at ng ating bansa.

Kaya nananawagan ang SCVC Student Council na:
✅🌾 Ipagtanggol ang karapatan at kabuhayan ng mga magsasaka at mangingisda.
✅🌊 Protektahan ang ating likas na yaman at mga pinagkukunan ng pagkain.
✅🇵🇭 Siguruhing ang bawat kasunduang papasukin ng bansa ay tunay na para sa kapakanan ng mamamayang Pilipino.

Ipanalo ang interes ng sambayanang Pilipino hindi ang interes ng ibang tao!
