HEALTHY LEARNING INSTITUTION | SEPTEMBER 24, 2026

Today, Loma de Gato Elementary School welcomed Nurse Celine and Nurse Rod for the Healthy Learning Institution (HLI) Validation. 🏫

A big thank you to our nurses for taking the time to validate and recognize the efforts of our school in promoting a healthy, safe, and supportive learning environment for everyone.

Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to the six teachers entrusted by our School Principal, Mr. Ronaldo A. Bonifacio, to work on and assist in the different HLI pillars. Your time, effort, and commitment behind the scenes truly helped make this initiative a success. 👏✨

Today’s validation is more than just checking requirements—it is a reminder that being a Healthy Learning Institution is about creating a school where learners are cared for not only academically, but also in their health, well-being, safety, and overall development.

Ang daming learners natin mula Grades 3 and 5 ang dumalo ngayong Day 4! 🥹 Nakakatuwang makita na marami sa inyo ang hindi nagpapalampas sa ganitong pagkakataon para mapangalagaan ang inyong paningin.

Malaking tulong ang FREE Eye Screening na ito upang malaman kung may error of refraction o iba pang vision concerns na maaaring makaapekto sa pagbabasa, pagkatuto, at pang-araw-araw na gawain ng ating mga learners. 👓✨

Kaya sa ating mga parents, hinihikayat po namin kayong samantalahin ang mga susunod pang screening para sa inyong mga anak.

Para naman sa mga learners na matutukoy na may error of refraction, magkakaroon ng 2nd Refraction sa September 28, 2026 kasama si Doc Hazel ng Shibaguchi Optical Clinic.

Kaya kung may pagkakataon, sulit na sulit pong magpa-screen! Libre na, makakatulong pa upang maagap na matukoy kung may kailangang tutukan sa paningin ng ating mga anak.

🤝 𝐍𝐎 𝐓𝐎 𝐁𝐔𝐋𝐋𝐘𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐈𝐓𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓

A small signature can carry a meaningful promise. 💚

Through the initiative of our School Principal, Mr. Ronaldo A. Bonifacio, together with our Guidance Advocates and Learner Formation Officers, learners are invited to sign the “𝐍𝐎 𝐓𝐎 𝐁𝐔𝐋𝐋𝐘𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐈𝐓𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓”—a simple pledge to choose kindness, respect, and understanding toward their classmates.

It is heartwarming to see many of our learners willingly step forward, write their names, and make their commitment known. More than just a signature, it represents a promise to help create a school where everyone feels safe, respected, and valued.

May every name written here remind us that preventing bullying is a shared responsibility. Let us continue to choose kindness, stand up for one another, and help make our school a place where every learner can learn and grow without fear. 🫶

👁️ FIRST REFRACTION

On September 16, 2026, Resources for the Blind, Inc. (RBI) conducted the First Refraction at Loma de Gato Elementary School for learners who were identified and referred following the initial eye screening. 👓✨

Through this project of RBI, in partnership with Loma de Gato Elementary School, our learners were given the opportunity to have their eyes examined by Doc Hazel of Shibaguchi Optical Clinic to determine whether they have vision concerns and may need further visual support.

This important step will help identify the learners who may qualify to receive free eyeglasses in October, during the scheduled turnover after the completion of all free eye screening activities. 📚

This project is more than just providing eyeglasses. It is about giving our learners a clearer chance to read, see, learn, participate, and reach their full potential. Some vision problems may go unnoticed at home, but can greatly affect a child’s learning experience. Through this initiative, RBI and its partner schools are helping ensure that learners receive the care and support they need.

We also encourage our parents and guardians to give consent for their children to participate in the succeeding eye care activities. This is a valuable opportunity for our learners to receive proper eye assessment and, if qualified, free eyeglasses that may support them in their daily learning. 🌱

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to Resources for the Blind, Inc. Philippines for spearheading this meaningful project, and to Shibaguchi Optical Clinic and Doc Hazel Shibaguchi for providing their expertise and compassionate service to our learners. 🙏

📚✨ INSET 2026 | LEAD. MANAGE. IMPROVE. SUCCEED.

On September 10–11, 2026, educators came together for the In-Service Training (INSET) 2026 with the theme:

“Lead and Manage to Improve and Succeed: Classroom Management for Today’s Diverse Learners.”

The two-day training served as a meaningful avenue for teachers to strengthen their leadership and classroom management skills, share experiences, and explore responsive strategies that address the needs of today’s diverse learners.

Together, we continue to lead with purpose, manage with compassion, improve through learning, and succeed through collaboration. 💙📖
