Learning Leadership Beyond Classrooms | Boy & Girl Week 2026

On September 7–9 and September 14, 2026, the St. Michael School of Marilao, Inc. participated in the Boy & Girl Week Officials 2026 at the Municipality of Marilao.

Throughout the program, our student leaders took part in seminars, reported to their respective offices, and engaged in activities that provided firsthand exposure to the duties of the local government. The experience allowed them to move beyond the classroom and gain a deeper appreciation of the responsibilities, discipline, and commitment required in public service.

More than assuming municipal positions, the experience gave our students the opportunity to observe, participate, and learn within an actual setting of governance—strengthening their understanding of leadership as a responsibility to others.

For the SMSM Community, opportunities such as these affirm the importance of exposing young women to spaces of leadership and public service early on, allowing them to develop the confidence, competence, and perspective to take their place in the communities they will one day serve.

Leadership is learned not only by being taught, but by being entrusted with the opportunity to serve.

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 135 issued by the Office of the President , St. Michael School of Marilao, Inc. will implement ONLINE CLASSES for all levels today, Thursday, September 10, 2026.

All learners are advised to prepare their gadgets, learning materials, and internet connection, and to follow the schedule and instructions that will be provided by their respective teachers through the school's official learning platforms.

We also encourage all parents and guardians to continue monitoring official announcements from the school and the local government for further updates.

Meanwhile, the ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE WILL BE OPEN FOR FACE TO FACE TRANSACTIONS.

Michaelians are encouraged to check their official learning platforms for learning modules, tasks, and deadlines posted by their teachers. Students may complete their assigned work independently within the given timeframe while staying safe at home.

To the St. Michael School of Marilao Family,

Due to the bad weather and flooding in our area, we know that many of our families are facing hard times right now.

To give everyone time to clean up, rest and take care of their homes, there will be no exams tomorrow, September 1, 2026 (Day 2 of Term 1 Examinations). The exams are postponed.

Please use this time to focus on your family and safety. We will post the new exam schedule as soon as possible.
