Ash Wednesday: Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.🌿
This day, we gather together as one Benedictine community to embark upon a 40 day journey of prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Ash of burnt palm leaves symbolizes repentance and humility, while the meditation of 40 days symbolizes purification, following biblical themes that we still continue to this day.
Let us come together in the name of following Christ’s sacrifice, and repent in His name and light, preparing us to encounter God and cleanse us from things that may lead us astray from His path.
Combined with this 40 day journey, we must also remember to partake in the sacrament of reconciliation this Lenten season.
What are you willing to give up as a form of your spiritual offering to God? 🙏🤍

“Even raging storms can never silence a devoted heart.”
On February 10, we honor the unwavering and steadfast spirit of the blessed St. Scholastica 🙏. She nurtured a community of women, centered in prayer and love 🤍. Her legacy inspires us that women can uplift hearts and transform communities through compassion and faith 🌻.
May St. Scholastica's example illuminate our path, guiding us to tread the path of grace 🌟.
Happy feast day, St. Scholastica 🕊!

Salve, Madre Santa! 🌠
On the first day of the year, the Church invites us to celebrate the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God 🌟🤍. Observed on the octave of Christmas, this feast honors Mary's crucial role in salvation as the Theotokos, the God-bearer, and calls us to seek peace as we begin the new year 🤲. Through her humble “yes,” she became a vessel of hope, carrying the Savior in her womb. In her, heaven met earth in the most gentle and profound way—through the tenderness of a mother’s love 🌱.
As we welcome the new year, let us learn from her humility, courage, and faith in God’s plan. May this year be shaped not only by our goals, but by her example of grace and devotion🙏.
🪶“Mary kept all these things, reflecting on them in her heart.” Luke 2:19
Mary with your loving son, bless us each and everyone🕊. Happy New Year, Scholasticans! 🎆🎉

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace!” Luke 2:14 👑
Today, we commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ—his arrival into a world longing for light and salvation🕊️💫. We reflect on his humble beginnings, the steadfast faith of Mary and Joseph, and the heavenly chorus of angels who proclaimed his glory to humanity✨.
Christmas is not only a celebration, but also a sacred reminder of God’s choice to step into our broken society where He chose to be fully human and to live with the people ❤️🩹. In the calm of the manger, hope took on flesh—Emmanuel, “God is with us.” In this season, we are now called to follow his example: to live in humility, generosity, and to extend our love to those around us🫂🎁.
May your homes be filled with joy, peace and gratitude. Merry Christmas 🎄🌠!
