The activity aimed to strengthen students’ grammar skills, deepen their understanding of key educational constructs, and equip future educators with practical, classroom-ready strategies. The session was led by Ms. Karen Alver Arenas, LPT, MAEd (Cand.), Program Chair for Education and Liberal Arts.

Last March 13, 2026, the Creative Educators Association held a capacity-building program focused on teaching future educators how to create effective lesson plans.

The program officially began with the introduction of the speaker, Mrs. Maryenn Pajo, who delivered a meaningful talk and shared valuable insights on lesson planning, including the different types used in DepEd classrooms.

Afterward, the learners were given time to create their own lesson plans based on the provided format—and they did not disappoint. Each group presenter was evaluated by the Program Chair of the Creative Educators Association, Mrs. Karen Alver Arenas; the General Education Chair and professor of The Teacher and the School Curriculum, Mr. Daniel Ambrosio; and Mrs. Caroline Abelo.

The capacity-building program helped prepare pre-service teachers to become future pillars of education—individuals who will serve as guiding lights for learners on their academic journeys.
