𝗦𝗗𝗚 𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗧𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 | 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗔𝗖𝗬, 𝗖𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬
Project Gulayan takes root with its official launch on April 13, marking the transition of a shared vision into an operational, student-led campus initiative, serving as a platform for sustainable practice, food security awareness, and environmental stewardship. It bridges academic learning with real-world application, empowering students to take part in solutions that address both present and future challenges.
Campus officials Dr. Ma. Arra Santos, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Glen Mangali, Vice President for PRELQAPAR, envisioned that the site stands as more than just a garden—it is the foundation for sustainable resilience. With the planting of the first seeds, the Institution begins its active contribution to 𝗦𝗗𝗚 𝟮 and 𝗦𝗗𝗚 𝟭𝟯, translating global goals into localized action.
Through this initiative, MPC student leaders are nurturing a culture of sustainability, strengthening disaster preparedness, and cultivating a legacy that extends beyond the campus grounds.

𝐏𝐘𝐓𝐈𝐅𝐈 & 𝐅𝐒𝐌 𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐘 @ 𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐎 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔
The Productive Young Technopreneur in Food Industry and FSM faculty, together with delegates from different schools, gathered at Ateneo de Manila University on March 19, 2026, for 𝑺𝒂𝒍𝒖𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒐 2026: 𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝑭𝒍𝒂𝒗𝒐𝒓 𝑴𝒆𝒆𝒕𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒆𝒆𝒅, an event organized by the 𝐀𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐀). The conference officially started at 8:30 AM, bringing together industry leaders and aspiring professionals for an engaging discussion.
𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝 𝐒𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐧, co-founder and CEO of 𝐌𝐚𝐦𝐚 𝐋𝐨𝐮'𝐬 𝐈𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐊𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐧, was the first speaker. He described his journey, "𝐹𝑟𝑜𝑚 𝑆𝑚𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝐻𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑦 𝑡𝑜 𝐺𝑟𝑜𝑤𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝐺𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑓𝑢𝑙," recognizing that consistency is the foundation of any thriving food business. He highlighted key points, including starting small, strengthening fundamentals before scaling, and striking a balance between innovation and authenticity. Furthermore, he left five essential lessons: Transition - The biggest opportunity might already be right in front of you; Rebrand - The brand must be easy to remember, emotionally true; Consistency - You cannot scale what lives only in one person's head; Quality - never compromise on what customers taste, and Guidance - Find the mentors. Building on Sison's insights, the second speaker, 𝐕𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐜𝐨, CEO of 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐈𝐧𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐚, took the stage under the theme "𝐹𝑒𝑒𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐹𝑒𝑒𝑑." He discussed the dynamics of digital content, emphasizing the significance of daily posting, pointing out that content with images performs noticeably better and that emotions, particularly awe, drive engagement and sharing.
𝟐𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐋𝐀, which included 𝐍𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐭, an 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫, and 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐛𝐨𝐧, CEO of 𝐑𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲, took part in the last session. The balance between trends and authenticity is highlighted in their discussion, with a focus on how authenticity fosters truth, longevity, and meaningful connection while trends gain attention and visibility. They encouraged attendees to view hospitality as a philosophy rather than just a business, and to create places rather than just brands.
The event concluded with exploring the food concessionaire area, experiencing a variety of food offerings that reflected the vibrant and evolving food industry.
Salusalo 2026 served as a meaningful platform for learning, inspiration, and collaboration—where flavor truly met the feed.

DUCK, COVER, AND HOLD | At exactly 3:30 PM, students, faculty members, non-teaching employees, and College officials rushed out of their workshops, rooms, and offices after the Environment Safety and Occupational Health Office (EOSH) sounded the emergency alarm in time for the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill.
The 30-minute drill was participated in by a total of 1,109 individuals. In a statement, Director Sheila Orozco of the EOSH noted that the simultaneous earthquake drill "is a valuable exercise to ensure preparedness in case of an actual emergency. This strengthens our resiliency and safety culture. [We] should remember that safety is everyone's responsibility."
