On 13 December 2025, the Marikina Polytechnic College ROTC Unit successfully conducted the culmination of Military Science 1 (MS1) ROTC Training for School Year 2025โ2026, marking the completion of the 15th and final Saturday of ROTC training.
The MS1 ROTC training program consisted of fifteen (15) Saturdays of progressive instruction, combining classroom lectures, practical exercises, and close order drills. These activities were designed to develop the cadetsโ military knowledge, discipline, physical fitness, leadership potential, and sense of patriotism, in accordance with the prescribed ROTC Program of Instruction. During the culmination activity, the MPC ROTC Unit administered the Final Examination for MS1 cadets to evaluate their comprehension and mastery of the subjects covered throughout the semester. The examination included topics on military discipline, customs and courtesies, close order drills, basic military concepts, and ROTC fundamentals. This was followed by Commandantโs Time, during which MAJ RUSTAN B OFALSA (ARM) PA, Commandant of the MPC ROTC Unit, commended the MS1 cadets for their perseverance, discipline, and active participation throughout the training cycle. He also expressed his sincere appreciation to the Cadet Officers for their dedication and professionalism in guiding, mentoring, and supervising the cadets during training activities and examinations. MAJ OFALSA emphasized the importance of good character, discipline, and commitment, not only within ROTC but also in academic pursuits and personal life. He encouraged the MS1 cadets to continue their ROTC journey as MS2 cadets in the succeeding semester, highlighting that ROTC serves as a foundation for leadership development, responsibility, resilience, and national service. His message inspired the cadets to remain motivated and steadfast as they move forward in their ROTC training and personal development.
