Now, let's dive deeper and focus on another very important part of the leather shoe, its sole.

The sole is what makes or breaks a shoe. It is the most important part of the shoe's comfortability, for it is the only thing between the user and the ground.

In this pubmat, we introduce the three main parts of the sole, as well as some of the additional layers which you may find in between them. We also further explore the types of stitching which connect the sole to the upper.
