JUST IN: Simulation Exercise (SIMEX) on Stabbing Incident at Marihatag Central Elementary School (MCES)

The recently successful conduct of the Simulation Exercise (SIMEX) on Stabbing Incident at Marihatag Central Elementary School (MCES) demonstrated the school's strong commitment to ensuring the safety, security, and preparedness of its learners, teaching personnel, and stakeholders during emergency situations.

The activity was made possible through the collaborative efforts of various agencies and individuals, particularly the Marihatag Municipal Police Station, represented by Municipal Acting Chief of Police PCT Emil S. Barro and Deputy Chief of Police PLT Jonas Campos, whose expertise and guidance significantly contributed to the realistic ex*****on of the simulation. Their active participation helped enhance the participants' awareness and understanding of proper response protocols during a potential stabbing incident within the school premises.

The success of the activity was further strengthened through the invaluable support of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Council (MDRRC) headed by Sir Gerry P. Avila, together with MCES School Principal Ma'am Shiela Mae C. Molino, the District and School Nurse, and the dedicated teaching and non-teaching personnel of MCES. Their collective efforts ensured the smooth coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the exercise, highlighting the importance of teamwork and preparedness in safeguarding the school community.
