[ Saheeh ] - [ Isinalaysay ni Abu Dawud, Al-Tirmidhi, Al-Nasa’i sa Al-Kubra, Ibn Majah at Ahmad ] - [ Sunan Abi Dawud - 4403 ]

PALIWANAG:

— Sahih al-Bukhari at Sahih Muslim

Historic site linked to Tamim al-Dari RA continues drawing attention in Islamic history
The maqam traditionally associated with Tamim al-Dari RA near Bayt Jibrin remains connected to one of the most discussed narrations regarding the Dajjal in Islamic literature. Historical and Hadith sources describe Tamim al-Dari RA’s sea journey, encounter with Al-Jassasah, and meeting with the chained figure later identified as the Dajjal, making the account deeply significant in Islamic eschatology.

Why do narrations connected to the signs of the end times continue fascinating people across generations?

Um@r Yamaoka: Japan's First Hajji and Pioneer of IslamThe history of Isl@m in Japan is incomplete without mentioning Um@r Yamaoka (born Mitsutaro Yamaoka).

Born in 1880, he was the first Japanese citizen to embrace Isl@m and perform the H@jj pilgrimage in 1909. His conversion was a spiritual milestone that occurred in Bombay (now Mumbai) after meeting the renowned Tatar scholar Abdurreshid Ibrahim. He recited the Shahada there, took the name 'Um@r,' and proceeded to the holy city of Mecca.

Upon his return, Um@r Yamaoka dedicated his life to spreading the mess@ge of Isl@m in Japan. He authored a book titled "Travels in Arabia," which introduced the Japanese public to Isl@mic teachings and his experiences during H@jj. He played a crucial role in the establishment of the first mosque in Tokyo and translated portions of the Qur@n into the Japanese language. Due to his tireless efforts, Isl@m began to be recognized as a respected faith in Japan. He passed away in 1959, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire the growing Muslim community in Japan today.

THE MAN WHO COULD NOT STOP SINNING

A man came to Ibrahim b. Adham رحمه الله, one of the great scholars and ascetics of the Salaf and said:

“Abu Ishaq, I am unable to control myself from disobeying Allah. Please give me something to help me.”

Ibrahim said: “If you accept five conditions and are able to put them into practice, your disobedience will not cause you any problem.”

“Just tell me what they are!” the man said.

Ibrahim said: “The first: when you want to disobey Allah, do not eat anything He provides.”

The man was stunned. “But everything on earth is from Him! How will I eat?”

Ibrahim replied: “So is it right to eat His provision and disobey Him at the same time?”

“No,” said the man. “Tell me the second.”

Ibrahim said: “When you want to disobey Him, move off His land.”

The man exclaimed: “That is even harder! Where else can I live?”

Ibrahim replied: “Is it right to eat His provision, live on His land, and then disobey Him?”

“No,” the man admitted. “Tell me the third.”

Ibrahim said: “When you want to disobey Him while you eat His provision and live on His land, find a place where He cannot see you and disobey Him there.”

The man said: “How? He knows everything, even what is hidden in my heart!”

Ibrahim replied: “So is it right to disobey Him when you eat His provision, live on His land, and know He sees everything you do?”

“Certainly not!” said the man. “Tell me the fourth.”

Ibrahim said: “When the Angel of Death arrives to take your soul, say to him: ‘Give me more time so I can repent and act righteously for Allah.’”

“But he will not listen to me!”

Ibrahim replied: “Then if you cannot ward off death long enough to repent, and you know when it comes there will be no delay, how can you hope to be saved?”

“Tell me the fifth,” the man said.

Ibrahim said: “When the angels of the Fire come to take you to the Fire, do not go with them.”

The man said: “They will take me whether I like it or not!”

Ibrahim replied: “So how can you hope to be saved?”

The man broke down and wept.

“Enough, enough, Ibrahim! I ask Allah’s forgiveness and I turn to Him!”

From that day he devoted himself to worship and avoided disobedience until the day he died.

[Narrated from Ibrahim b. Adham رحمه الله, recorded in the classical books of the Salaf including references in Hilyat Al-Awliya of Abu Nu’aym Al-Isfahani.]

Overthinking? The Prophet ﷺ Taught the Cure 🤍

When the mind feels heavy and thoughts won’t stop racing, Islam gives a way to calm the heart and return to Allah.

Allah tells us that Shaytan “whispers into the hearts of mankind” (Qur’an 114:5). The solution is not to fight every thought, but to seek refuge in Allah and place trust in Him.

Authentic Duas for Anxiety & Distress

🌸 1. For anxiety and sorrow

“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow…”
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 6369)

🌸 2. For reliance upon Allah

“Allah is sufficient for me. There is no deity except Him. In Him I place my trust, and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne.”
(Qur’an 9:129)

🌸 3. When things feel difficult

“O Allah, nothing is easy except what You make easy.”
(Sahih Ibn Hibban, Hadith 2427)

Reminder 🤍

Overthinking often comes from trying to carry what is beyond your control.

Tawakkul is not ignoring reality, it is trusting Allah with what you cannot control.

Return to Him again and again.

THE 10-SECOND CHOICE THAT SAVES RELATIONSHIPS 🛑🔥🕊️

We’ve all been there. Your heart starts racing, your face gets hot, and a sharp word is right at the tip of your tongue. In that moment, you have a choice: Let the fire burn everything down, or use the Sunnah to extinguish it.

Anger is a fire from Shaitan, and the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ gave us a "Cooling System" that works every single time.

Save this "Emergency Protocol" for the next time you feel the heat: 📌

1️⃣ SEEK REFUGE: Recite "A’udhu billahi minash shaitanir rajim." Recognize that this heat isn't from you; it’s a trap from the enemy. Start by breaking the spiritual connection to the anger.
2️⃣ STAY SILENT: The Prophet ﷺ said: "If one of you becomes angry, let him remain silent." (Ahmad). You can never take back words spoken in rage. Silence is your greatest strength. 🤫
3️⃣ CHANGE YOUR POSITION: If you are standing, sit down. If you are sitting, lie down. This physical shift lowers your blood pressure and breaks the "momentum" of the confrontation.
4️⃣ PERFORM WUDHU (OR A SHOWER): Anger is fire. Water is its natural enemy. Wudhu doesn't just purify you; it literally cools your nervous system and brings peace back to your soul.
5️⃣ DRINK WATER: Slow down. Hydrate. Take a moment to breathe.
6️⃣ MAKE DUA: Turn that negative energy into a plea for patience. Ask Allah to cool your heart.

THE TAKEAWAY:
Real strength isn't winning an argument; it's mastering your own soul. The Prophet ﷺ said: "The strong man is not the one who can wrestle, but the one who can control himself when he is angry." (Bukhari)

Which of these Sunnah tips helps you calm down the fastest? For me, it’s #2-silence saves me from so much regret. Let’s talk below! 👇
