Welcome to the (MIT) Mindanao Institute of Technology - Marawi, Inc.! As part of the admission and placement process, all incoming freshmen are advised to take note of the schedule for the Sectional Test to be held on June 4 and 6, 2026, at MIT Building 4.

This examination is an important step in your transition to college life and will help the institution assess and properly place students according to their academic readiness and program requirements.

Testing Sessions:
• 1st Session: 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM
• 2nd Session: 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM
• 3rd Session: 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM

⚠️ Important Reminder:

Session assignments will be determined based on the order of arrival. Students who arrive early will be accommodated first in the available testing sessions. To ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience, all freshmen are strongly encouraged to arrive ahead of their preferred schedule.

We encourage all incoming students to come prepared, follow the instructions of the examination personnel, and observe proper conduct throughout the testing period.

The Social Work Student Alliance (SWSA) together with the MIT–Marawi Social Work Department proudly support initiatives that empower young people to speak, participate, and lead meaningful change in the community. Through inspiring discussions and shared experiences, the forum became a reminder that the youth are not only the future — they are also the voice of change today.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Pagkakaisa Para sa Moro Youth Council (PPMYC) for successfully organizing and conducting this meaningful forum. Your dedication in empowering the Moro youth and creating a platform where young voices are heard is truly inspiring.

The program marked a meaningful milestone in the practicum journey of the Social Work interns from Mindanao Institute of Technology, Inc. – Marawi, reflecting the knowledge, experiences, and values they gained through community immersion and field exposure.

The department extends its heartfelt gratitude to MSSD – Saguiaran for the guidance, support, and meaningful learning environment provided to the interns.

The successful conduct of the Exit Culmination of the Social Work Interns from Mindanao Institute of Technology, Inc. (MIT – Marawi) symbolizes the closing of one meaningful chapter and the beginning of a greater journey in the field of social work and community service.

Assigned across various municipalities in Lanao del Sur, the interns were immersed in actual field experiences that strengthened their understanding of public service, community engagement, and social welfare practice. Their exposure allowed them to transform classroom learning into purposeful action grounded in compassion, professionalism, and dedication.

The interns assigned in the Municipality of Ramain carried out their practicum journey under the leadership of Hon. Ansaruddin “Hooky” Alonto Adiong together with MSWDO Hanifah A. Habib, RSW, MPA.

The Municipality of Buadiposo Buntong likewise became a place of learning and growth for the interns through the support of Hon. Noron Hayanisa Dadayan, JD together with MSWDO Minang M. Nagamora, RSW.

Meanwhile, the interns assigned in the Municipality of Lumba Bayabao completed their field exposure under the guidance of Hon. Mahar P. Dagalangit together with MSWDO Hanna-Yasmin A. Bashiron, RSW.

The department extends its deepest appreciation to these Local Government Units and Municipal Social Welfare and Development Offices for nurturing future social workers and for opening opportunities where knowledge, empathy, and service were cultivated beyond the four corners of the classroom.

To our dear interns, especially the remarkable 𝘽𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙢𝙗𝙖𝙮, this achievement reflects your perseverance, adaptability, and commitment to becoming catalysts of hope and change within society.

The Exit Culmination Program held on May 5, 2026, under the MSSD–4Ps Pantawid Program, stands as a meaningful conclusion to the practicum journey of Social Work interns from Mindanao Institute of Technology, Inc. (MIT – Marawi).

This event symbolizes more than just completion—it reflects the dedication, resilience, and transformation of the interns throughout their fieldwork experience. Immersed in real-life social protection services, they gained deeper insight into the implementation of programs that uplift the lives of families and communities.

Through their exposure to the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), the interns witnessed firsthand the importance of responsive governance, community engagement, and ethical social work practice. Their journey has strengthened not only their professional skills but also their passion for service.

The participation of our organization, SWSA, in the Mainstreaming BYC-ReAP (Bangsamoro Youth Commission – Registration and Accreditation Program) held on April 30 – May 1, 2026, at Anggun Hall, Emerald Place, Marawi City, marks a step forward in strengthening youth engagement and leadership.

This activity provided an opportunity for youth organizations in Lanao del Sur to enhance their capacity in leadership, organizational development, and community involvement.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Bangsamoro Youth Commission – Lanao del Sur and Marawi City for facilitating this initiative.
