Dear Parents and Guardians,

At HISFI, your child’s safety and well-being—both in and out of the classroom—remain our top priority. As technology becomes part of daily life, even our preschool and grade school pupils are spending more time online for learning, games, and entertainment. While the Internet offers many positive opportunities, it also exposes young children to inappropriate or harmful content, cyberbullying, and online scams.

Why Online Safety Matters Early?

Children at a young age are naturally curious and may not yet understand the risks of sharing information or clicking unfamiliar links. Early guidance helps build safe online habits that will protect them as they grow.

How Parents Can Help?

To support safe Internet use at home, we recommend that families:

📍Supervise online activity closely, especially for younger children.
📍Use parental control tools to block harmful or age-inappropriate sites.
📍Set clear limits on screen time and access to apps or websites.
📍Remind children not to share personal information or talk to strangers online.
📍Encourage open communication—let your child know they can tell you if they see something that makes them uncomfortable.

Buadi Sacayo, Marawi City on September 28, 2025.
