“A Light will always Shine in our Hearts for Rania”
It was May 7, 2026, a young lady with very mild manners, stepped gently into the Kumon Center in Marawi.
She started at Level C, and with sheer grit and determination, in less than 2 months, she moved up three levels - to level F; and was about to take her Achievement Test for level F so she could move on to level G, when she had to travel to Manila for her medical procedure.
Teacher Mina, fondly recalls, “I only saw her face to face for 3 sessions, because many of her sessions were online. Those 3 times were enough for me to observe how truly good and kind she was. She always smiled and I could tell she was careful to not make mistakes. Whenever I approached her, I would tap her shoulder, and tell her, “Takulay, don’t be shy to ask if you have questions or if you’re finding it hard.” With her signature smile, she sweetly said, Yes, Ma’am.
Her online classes were just as smooth as her Center sessions. She was the most delightful student to guide. She picked up lessons so easily, never lagged behind. No matter what, she made sure every homework and classwork was done right on time. Every achievement test, she finished with only two minor mistakes and done within the given time; proof of how meticulous and bright she was. I never had a hard time with her at all. Rania made teaching so light and easy for me.”
Now, we understand why Rania felt the urgency to always finish her assigned worksheets completely and on time. Why, whenever the internet connection was weak, she would ask Teacher Mina to re-schedule her online session even if it was not on her Kumon day. Now we know why Rania did not want to leave her work unfinished, it was because she was going to leave us…soon.🕊️❤️🩹
We already miss Rania. The teachers, parents, and students of Kumon Tampilong Marawi Center pray that Allah have mercy on her, forgive her, and grant her the highest place in Jannah, Ameen.
We pray that Allah instills tranquility and acceptance in the hearts of Rania’s beloved parents, families, relatives, and friends, Ameen.
In shaa Allah, she is now in a place where there is no more pain, no more medicines, and no more hospital visits.
Rest now, our dear Rania.
Inna Lillahi wa Inna ilaihi raji’un. Truly we belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return.🕊️
