The Sociology-Anthropology Students' Society joins our Muslim brothers and sisters in wishing them joy, peace, and blessings on Eid'l Fitr (The Festival of Breaking the Fast).

May Allah accept our fasts, prayers, and good deeds we performed. The blessed month has already ended, but its purpose should not. May we never forget the lessons we’ve learned, the gratitude we’ve felt, the hope that endures, and the never-ending love of Allah.

Eid Mubarak to our Muslim brothers and sisters around the world! And may Allah bless us to witness another Ramadhan next year.

During the sacred month of Ramadan, acts of generosity, compassion, and community become even more meaningful. In the spirit of sharing and service, the students of the Department of Sociology–Anthropology organized an Iftar Drive to provide meals for those breaking their fast and to strengthen the sense of solidarity within our community.

With hearts full of gratitude, the students of the Department of Sociology–Anthropology sincerely thank everyone who supported and contributed to our Iftar Drive. Through your generosity, we successfully raised a total of ₱𝟏𝟐,𝟑𝟕𝟓, allowing us to extend meaningful assistance and share meals with members of the community during the sacred month of Ramadan.

The Iftar gathering was held first at 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐥 𝐇𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡 (𝐓𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐥 𝐌𝐠𝐚 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐄𝐥𝐨) where 30 meals, 1kg of rice, and groceries were provided. It was then held with the 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 at the 𝐒𝐒𝐆 𝐂𝐮𝐛𝐞, where 120 meals were distributed. More than simply providing food for those breaking their fast, this initiative became a moment of connection, empathy, and solidarity. As students of Sociology, we recognize that acts like these strengthen social bonds and cultivate intercultural understanding within our diverse community.

This simple act of sharing reminds us that compassion is a powerful social force—one that transcends differences and brings people together in the spirit of care, respect, and collective responsibility.

The Prophet (SAW) said to those feeding the fasting:

40 years since the coup d’état, since the Filipino people rose against the dictatorship of President Ferdinand Marcos. This fight was never about yellow or red. It was and will always be a fight for freedom.

As the blessed month of Ramadan graces us once again, the Sociology-Anthropology Students’ Society warmly invites you to be part of a meaningful cause our 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐧 𝐈𝐟𝐭𝐚𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 2026.

Ramadan is not only a time of fasting, but also a time of compassion, reflection, and generosity. It reminds us that even the simplest act of kindness can carry immense rewards. Through this initiative, we hope to bring comfort and nourishment to our muslim sisters and brothers as they break their fast. The most awaited month has about to come. Ramadhan — the month of reflection, forgiveness, sincerity, and compassion.

One of the most significant aspect of this month is fasting. But this is more than just practicing self-control. It is also about seeking closeness to the Most High.

It is the month when people most deeply yearn for softened hearts, forgiven sins, and prayers rising higher than ever. Most people who shift their focus away from worldly distractions — you'll find them here — being more mindful of Allah.

Therefore, as we welcome the blessed month of Ramadhan, we extend our warm greetings to our Muslim sisters and brothers. 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮!

On February 08, 2026, the College of Social Sciences and Humanities will hold its Alay at Sablay at Fahm Cafe’s Function Hall. The event is both a hooding ceremony and a tribute to parents of our graduating class. See you there!

‎A fire incident broke out last January 22, 2026 in Roosevelt, Brgy. Saray, Iligan City. Many families were unable to save their belongings and are now in urgent need of support.
