The Sociology-Anthropology Students' Society joins our Muslim brothers and sisters in wishing them joy, peace, and blessings on Eid'l Fitr (The Festival of Breaking the Fast).
May Allah accept our fasts, prayers, and good deeds we performed. The blessed month has already ended, but its purpose should not. May we never forget the lessons weโve learned, the gratitude weโve felt, the hope that endures, and the never-ending love of Allah.
Eid Mubarak to our Muslim brothers and sisters around the world! And may Allah bless us to witness another Ramadhan next year.

During the sacred month of Ramadan, acts of generosity, compassion, and community become even more meaningful. In the spirit of sharing and service, the students of the Department of SociologyโAnthropology organized an Iftar Drive to provide meals for those breaking their fast and to strengthen the sense of solidarity within our community.
With hearts full of gratitude, the students of the Department of SociologyโAnthropology sincerely thank everyone who supported and contributed to our Iftar Drive. Through your generosity, we successfully raised a total of โฑ๐๐,๐๐๐, allowing us to extend meaningful assistance and share meals with members of the community during the sacred month of Ramadan.
The Iftar gathering was held first at ๐๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐ข๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ก (๐๐จ๐ซ๐๐ฅ ๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐จ) where 30 meals, 1kg of rice, and groceries were provided. It was then held with the ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ at the ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐, where 120 meals were distributed. More than simply providing food for those breaking their fast, this initiative became a moment of connection, empathy, and solidarity. As students of Sociology, we recognize that acts like these strengthen social bonds and cultivate intercultural understanding within our diverse community.
This simple act of sharing reminds us that compassion is a powerful social forceโone that transcends differences and brings people together in the spirit of care, respect, and collective responsibility.
The Prophet (SAW) said to those feeding the fasting:
May this shared experience continue to inspire kindness, unity, and a deeper commitment to community engagement. Thank you for helping make this initiative a meaningful and heartwarming success.

40 years since the coup dโรฉtat, since the Filipino people rose against the dictatorship of President Ferdinand Marcos. This fight was never about yellow or red. It was and will always be a fight for freedom.
To this day, we remember the sacrifices of those who came before us, those who questioned, resisted, and stood firm for our democracy. We must never forget the history of our nation so we do not walk a path that will lead us back to darkness.
The spirit of EDSA lives on in every Filipino who chooses truth over propaganda, courage over fear, and unity over division. As we commemorate the EDSA Revolution, may we continue to defend our rights, safeguard our democracy, and honor the legacy of people power not just in memory, but in action.

Ramadan is not only a time of fasting, but also a time of compassion, reflection, and generosity. It reminds us that even the simplest act of kindness can carry immense rewards. The Prophet Muhammad (๏ทบ) said: โ๐พ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐

Through this initiative, we hope to bring comfort and nourishment to our muslim sisters and brothers as they break their fast. Your contribution whether big or small will help provide warm meals, ease their burdens, and remind them that they are valued and supported by a caring community. Every peso shared is a Every meal served is a ๐ฅ๐ถ๐ข answered. Every act of giving is a step closer to Allahโs mercy.

One of the most significant aspect of this month is fasting. But this is more than just practicing self-control. It is also about seeking closeness to the Most High.
It is the month when people most deeply yearn for softened hearts, forgiven sins, and prayers rising higher than ever. Most people who shift their focus away from worldly distractions โ you'll find them here โ being more mindful of Allah.
Therefore, as we welcome the blessed month of Ramadhan, we extend our warm greetings to our Muslim sisters and brothers.
