3rd Official Short Film Entry: “Pamikiran”
Synopsis:
PAMIKIRAN tells the story of a family with a bedridden grandmother who hides her illness from her loved ones. Diagnosed with gastric cancer, she shares a close bond with her granddaughter, while her daughter struggles with internal conflicts among her siblings that lead to a family feud. As the grandmother’s condition worsens, she is rushed to the hospital with her two children; her granddaughter and mother follow, but tragically, the grandmother does not survive. The film also portrays the life of an on‑duty nurse, who must balance the demands of her profession with the challenges of her own family life.

18 Years of Blessings, Service, and Dedication
Alhamdulillah! Yesterday marked the beginning of our 18th Foundation Day Celebration at the Mindanao Institute of Healthcare Professionals, Inc. Truly, eighteen years is a blessing from ALLAH Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala - a testament to His guidance, mercy, and provision that have sustained our institution through challenges and triumphs.
As we continue this celebration, we extend our deepest gratitude to our lecturers, faculty members, staff, alumni, students, and all individuals who, in countless ways, have contributed to the growth and success of our Nursing School. Your dedication, sacrifices, and unwavering support have shaped our institution into what it is today - a place where knowledge, compassion, and service come together to nurture future nurses.
This year’s theme, “Faith, Compassion and Dedication: 18 years of nurturing Nurses, healing communities, and making difference in the Nursing profession,” beautifully reflects our journey. For nearly two decades, we have remained steadfast in our mission:
Faith - grounding our work in trust in ALLAH and in the values that guide us.
Compassion - instilling in our students the heart to serve with empathy and care.
Dedication - committing ourselves to excellence in education and service to communities.
Through these values, we have nurtured nurses who not only excel in their profession but also embody humility, respect, and service. Our graduates are now healing communities, uplifting lives, and making meaningful contributions to the nursing profession both locally and globally.
As we celebrate this milestone, we pray that ALLAH Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala continues to bless our institution with wisdom, strength, and unity. May the next chapters of our journey bring even greater opportunities to serve, to educate, and to inspire. Allahumma Ameen.
