The 𝗖𝗛𝗦 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 proudly took part in the 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗦𝗨 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗶 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗵-𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵, in partnership with 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗦, extending the spirit of service beyond the classroom and into the community.

𝟓𝟒 𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐒 𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑, 𝐖𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑.

Some stories are taught in classrooms.

Others are passed down quietly, through a parent’s story, a grandparent’s memory, an old photograph, or a sentence that begins with, “𝑁𝑜𝑜𝑛𝑔 𝑝𝑎𝑛𝑎ℎ𝑜𝑛 𝑛𝑎𝑚𝑖𝑛…”

For many of us students, Martial Law is a chapter we first encountered in textbooks, lectures, documentaries, or stories from those who lived through it. We were not there. We did not hear the silence that followed, nor did we personally experience the fear, uncertainty, and loss that many Filipinos endured.

But being born after those years does not mean we are disconnected from them.

Because behind every page of history are people.

People who had names. Families. Dreams. Voices.

Students. Journalists. Workers. Activists. Parents. Ordinary Filipinos whose lives were changed by a period that remains deeply etched in our nation’s memory.

It is easy to turn history into dates, definitions, and examination questions. It is harder to remember that every lesson once happened to someone.

And perhaps that is where our responsibility as students begins.

Remembering is not about staying trapped in the past. It is about refusing to become so distant from it that we stop asking questions. It is about listening to stories, confronting uncomfortable chapters, and understanding the freedoms we experience today, not as something ordinary, but as something worth recognizing and protecting.

Because history is not only something we study.

It is something we carry.

54 years later, we remember the lives affected, the voices that refused to disappear, and the lessons that continue to matter.

May we never become too distant from history to care.

Remember. Learn. Speak.

𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲, 𝗖𝗛𝗦 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘀! 🐍💚✨

We had such a fun time welcoming our newest 𝐂𝐇𝐒 𝐕𝐢𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬 through our 𝑭𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒉𝒎𝒆𝒏 𝑭𝒆𝒔𝒕 & 𝑺𝒂𝒍𝒖𝒃𝒐𝒏𝒈! From fun games to exploring our different club booths, it was a day full of new faces, new friends, and unforgettable memories. ✨

And of course, our 𝑺𝒂𝒏𝒓𝒊𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎𝒆 made everything extra cute! 💗🎀
