The Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs (OVCAA) has issued a memorandum excusing interested students from their classes on Monday, December 1, 2025, to participate in the observance of World AIDS Day 2025.

The memorandum (No. 001-1124-OVCAA) instructs all departments and colleges to allow interested students to be absent to attend the activity. However, a note in the advisory specifies that students are required to prioritize scheduled examinations over participation in the event. This clarifies that the permission for absence does not override any scheduled tests or major academic activities on that date.

Organized by the Supreme Student Government, the College of Health Sciences, and the Batch Sanghaya, the event will take place at the Dimaporo Gymnasium, with the theme “R.E.A.C.H.: Raising Empathy and Awareness to Combat HIV/AIDS.”
